Restricted Burning Times from 01 March to 31 March
Due to the continuing elevated fire danger conditions expected, Permits to Burn will not be issued during March except for broadacre stubble burning. It is important to note that Permits to Burn are invalid and cancelled on any day where the Fire Danger Rating has been declared as High or above.
Fire Danger Ratings for your area can be found at: https://www.emergency.wa.gov.au/#
Within the townsite of Beverley small piles of garden waste may be burned after 6pm but must be fully extinguished by midnight and the following conditions must be complied with:
1. The Fire Danger Rating for that day must be moderate or lower.
2. The pile cannot be larger than 1 cubic metre.
3. The area surrounding the pile must be cleared of all flammable material to a distance of 5 metres radius.
4. DFES Communications Centre must be contacted on 1800 198 140 with the address where you are burning before you commence.
Failure to comply with conditions and restrictions can result in infringement notices or prosecution and invalidates insurance protections should a burn escape and cause damage to others. Please stay safe and take sensible precautions to prevent the danger of uncontrolled fires.
