BLESSING THE PLOUGH & CELEBRATING 130 YEARS OF THE CHURCH OF ST JOHN IN THE WILDERNESS
This Sunday the parish of Beverley-Brookton will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the dedication of the Church of St John in the Wilderness at The Dale. We will also be acknowledging the commencement of the planting season with a ‘Blessing of the Plough’ ceremony. The service will commence at the Church of St John in the Wilderness at 10.00am with a “bring and share” lunch to follow. Bishop Kate Wilmot will the guest preacher and president of the Eucharist. There will be NO services at St Mary’s Church, Beverley and St Mark’s Church, Brookton.
