TREE PLANTING DAY

Beverley District High School cadets are teaming up with the Beverley River Care Group on Friday 08 August to plant trees. Helpers are very welcome, for more information on how to get involved, please contact Tim Law 0412 747 757. Thank you to the Beverley Naturalists Club for their support, advice and trees.

AVONDALE MACHINERY MUSEUM

Our dedicated volunteers will open the Avondale Agricultural Museum on Saturday 09 August , from 8.30am to 1.00pm and entry is free.

CHURCH SERVICE

Anglican Church, Parish of Beverley-Brookton: A Commemoration of John the Baptist will take place on Sunday 10 August at 3pm as the Patronal Festival service of the Church of St John in the Wilderness in The Dale. A “bring and share” afternoon tea will follow. All are welcome – there will be no service at either St Mary’s Church, Beverley or St Mark’s Church, Brookton this Sunday.

FREE KIDS WORKSHOPS

This free workshop for kids at the Station with accomplished Fremantle Artist in Residence, Paula MacMillan-Perich. Suitable for students 8 years and up. BEVERLEY SUB CENTRE

We have organised a first aid course at the Beverley Sub Centre for Thursday 14 August . This one day course starting at 8.30am, and finishing 4.30pm is fully catered. We look forward to seeing you all for what will be a great day learning life saving skills.

AUTHOR RACHAEL JOHNS IS COMING

We have successfully secured funding from the State Library of WA, to get award winning WA author Rachael Johns to Beverley on Friday 05 September. Bookings are now open, call 9646 1600, seats are limited.

JIVE/ROCK ‘N’ ROLL IS BACK

Jive/Rock ‘N’ Roll group is back on Friday’s at the RSL Hall starting at 7pm. Great fun for all skill levels, bring a friend along to join in the dancing. For more information contact Bob on 0447 515 153.

STAY ACTIVE

Stay Active, gentle exercise sessions for seniors and others, are held on Tuesday mornings at 9.00am at the Recreation Centre, cost $1. Newcomers always welcome, just turn up.

DREAMS OF A LONELY PLANET

The Flying Bicycle Collective is a contemporary dancetheatre-puppetry performance for young audiences. They will be performing at the Beverley Town Hall on Saturday 20 September, show starts at 12.30pm - 1.30pm, and a workshop from 3.00pm - 4.00pm.
