Our Department is responsible for the management and daily operations of all Parks and Recreation facilities, including 27 parks, 17 miles of separated trails, seven miles of bike trails, 14 miles of recreation trails, The Landing Ice Rink, Palmer Hills Golf Complex, Crow Creek Dog Park, and more.
In addition, we offer numerous programs in the areas of adult and youth sports, rental facilities, special events, and special interest classes.
To provide accessible, diverse, and inclusive experiences that enhance the quality of life and create a sense of place and community for all.

We have over 20 ballfields and six tennis/pickleball courts available to rent between April 15 and October 15.Field and court rental fees are $15/hour and do not include grooming or lights. Call (563) 344-4113 to make a reservation. If interested in hosting a tournament, call (563) 344-4113.
Located in Crow Creek Park, our 3.1 mile cross country course is scenic and one of Iowa’s most challenging. The trail starts and finishes at the soccer fields, located in the southwest corner of the park, and winds throughout the park. The course is open to the public year round and also available for 5K walks/runs and XC meets. To schedule, call (563) 344-4113.
Enjoy 18-hole courses in Devils Glen Park and Middle Park. Both are challenging and fun with multiple pin placements. At Devils Glen Park, you’ll find hole #1 on the far side of the baseball field. At Middle Park, the trees, hills, and water hazards will add to the fun. Both courses are open to the public and can be reserved for tournaments. Call (563) 344-4113.
The Debe Lamar Spray Pad is located in Lincoln Park, off Central Avenue. The spray pad is touch activated and open daily 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather permitting.
Located near the main entrance of Crow Creek Park just off of Devils Glen Road, the skatepark accommodates a wide variety of skill levels. Bike times: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday: 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 5-6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: 12-2 p.m. and 8 p.m.–sunset.
Experience our newest amenity in Devils Glen Park with your friends, family, or coworkers this year. Our fire pit is available to rent alone (or with Shelter #3) for $25. Includes benches, fire ring, concrete pad, and concrete cornhole/bag toss game. Bring your chairs and bags and enjoy the scenic woodland park views.
Located in Crow Creek Park, our seven-acre fenced in dog park provides a safe and fun place for dogs to run and play off leash. The park also offers a special area called The SPOTT for dogs that are old, timid, or tiny and need a calmer space to play. The park includes dog drinking fountains, benches, restrooms, bag dispensers for waste removal, agility equipment, and more. Support the City of Bettendorf and the Bettendorf Dog Park Alliance through donations for upkeep and improvements or help out as a volunteer. Call (563) 344-4113 for more information.

Kick off your child’s journey into youth sports with a fun and welcoming program designed for beginners. Participants will explore a different sport each week while developing basic skills, confidence, and coordination. The athletes will learn the basic skills of the sport through skills and drills each week, then put it all together with a scrimmage on the last day! New to the sport or want to try something new? Our Spring Soccer League is the perfect fit! Games are played on Sundays at Crow Creek Park and the field at the Bettendorf AEA. The season has two weeks of practice before starting a five-game schedule, with practices continuing weekly. Teams are assembled based on the school that your child attends. The league is completely coached by volunteer coaches –consider joining in on your child’s experience this season! Registration for the league ends March 1. Season is scheduled to start March 30. Cost is $75 after February 22.

Bettendorf Parks & Recreation has partnered with our friends at Running Wild to bring another fun and exciting Youth Running Camp led by credentialed, experienced, and passionate running coaches! This program is geared for everyone, new to running and experienced runners alike! Camp meets weekly on Monday nights at Veterans Memorial Park, 1645 23rd Street.

This is our introductory league to both baseball and softball where kids will learn the basics! The season kicks off with two weeks of practices followed by six weeks of games. We understand parents are busy, so be a part of this evening fun experience. We try our best to make volunteer coaching easy and convenient for all! No games on May 25 (Memorial Day). Cost is $75 after March 29.


Our 2026 Tennis Program is directed by Tennis Pro Dan Patrick., USPTA with over 20 years of experience. Designed for the beginner and intermediate players ages 5-12. Camps are offered both in the morning and evening and run for one hour. Cost: $95
• Intermediate/Advanced Jr Camp
Designed for players ages 12-18 and ready to take their game to the next level! High intensity drills, perfect for the player wanting to excel in high school play. Camps meet all day from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Cost: $255

Levels
• Beginner - players with little to no experience

Group Lessons
All group lessons are held at Bettendorf Middle School courts. Sessions run for two weeks and players will develop basic skills in tennis. Lessons are offered for ages 5-18 and meet Monday through Thursday.

Students will learn basic fine motor skills, building on overall body coordination while developing selfesteem and confidence in a positive and safe environment. Skill levels accepted: preschool, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Classes are held at the Bettendorf Community Center, 2204 Grant Street.

Bettendorf Parks and Recreation is partnering with Davenport Valley Archers to provide an indoor event to try out archery! We will cover range safety and set up, parts of the bow and arrow, and the steps of shooting prior to shooting. No experience necessary. Certified instructors on hand to get you started. Within Devils Glen Park, our archery building is located at 1298 44th Street.

Ultimate frisbee is a fast-paced field sport that is known for building camaraderie and sportsmanship, as well as athletic skills.
The Learn to Play clinics are instructed by certified USA Ultimate Head Coaches and are designed to introduce kids to the fundamentals of the game with short drills and fun activities. Clinics are held at Crow Creek Park, 4701 Devils Glen Road, Flag Football 1 & 2.
Join us for the inaugural Quad Cities High School Ultimate Frisbee League hosted by Youth Ultimate of the Quad Cities and Bettendorf Parks and Recreation! This new league is designed for high school players of all experience levels (incoming freshman-outgoing seniors) to master the fundamentals of the sport.

Kids will enjoy basic hands-on cooking experiences as they make delicious theme-based foods! Classes are held at the Family Museum, 2900 Learning Campus Drive.
Bettendorf Parks & Recreation has again partnered with ACE Auto Doctor & Repair to offer a Teen Vehicle Maintenance Workshop. Teens will perform maintenance tasks like tire pressure checks, changing tires, replacing coolants and engine oils and oil filters. Participants will have some one-on-one instruction in order to understand how to connect to the onboard computer and how to read vehicle codes. Class will be held at ACE Auto Doctor & Repair, 2226 State Street.
Join Bettendorf Parks & Rec and Art with Kare for a spring-themed paint party! The paint party will include pizza at the end, so your paintings have time to dry before you take them home. New team applications will open February 16 and will close March 27 for all 2026 season. Adult divisions are offered on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights, and Thursday nights for coed. ALL PLAYERS must be 18 years old.
Mark your calendars for the Fall Adult Softball program! Registration for new teams will run from June 15–July 17, and the season is tentatively scheduled to start in August. ALL PLAYERS must be 18 years old.

Serve up some fun this summer! Join our new adult pickleball league for friendly competition, social play, and plenty of action on the courts. Registration opens February 2, and closes May 17. Leagues will be run eight weeks and are available for men, women and coed divisions with 10 teams per division and sets running 30 minutes.

We’re rolling out the red carpet for all senior members of the community (ages 60+) where EVERYONE is crowned Prom King and Prom Queen! Arrive in style! Perhaps a frilly dress and petticoats, or an elegant gown? What about a classic suit you’ve been saving for a special occasion?! Or maybe you want to have fun and pull a costume from storage! ANYTHING GOES TONIGHT! Grab your favorite dance partner, maybe a corsage or boutonniere, and come dance the night away with us! Our fabulous DJ will be playing all your favorite tunes from the 50s & 60s, and our staff will provide light refreshments and a photographer! This event will be held at the Bettendorf Community Center.
Our Golden Fit class focuses on the foundational components of longevity. Workouts will be structured to assist in increasing strength and balance while maintaining flexibility. Our 32nd Annual Jamie Hill Memorial Golf Tournament is scheduled for August 29, 2026 at Palmer Hills Golf Course. This is a four-person preferred ball format with three flights. This is a great fundraising event for the foundation and honors the memory of a former Parks & Recreation employee. Since 1991, the City of Bettendorf has a commitment citywide in addressing the concerns with trees, tree planting and tree maintenance. This was initiated by the establishment of the Trees Are Us (TAU) Committee. TAU is a volunteer group of dedicated citizens that gather monthly to create inventories and planting proposals throughout Bettendorf. In January 2026, The TAU Committee was awarded the Growth Award by the Iowa Urban Tree Council and gained certified Tree City USA status.
