The Beth Jacob Hebrew School at Beth Tfiloh is proud to announce a new track specifically for children with language-based learning differences. The Meir Program will consist of primary and intermediate classes taught by specially trained Judaic instructors. The program will provide proven language instruction and a multi-sensory approach to give children a strong connection to their rich Jewish heritage. The program has been developed in consultation with a team of experts including Ben Shifrin, Head of Jemicy School; Zipora Schorr, Beth Tfiloh Director of Education; and Susan Yurow, Beth TfilohÊs Lower School Assistant Principal and Learning
Specialist. Brian Singer serves as Hebrew School Coordinator. The Meir Program is being subsidized through funding generously sponsored by BT members and school parents, Michael and Jen Sachs. The curriculum will include all the elements of our Hebrew School Hebrew language, prayer, Shabbat and holidays. Teachers will engage studentsÊ interest and strengthen their association and memory using a rich variety of sights, sounds, and multisensory experiences to convey the beauty and joy of Judaism, and inspire them to be proud and caring Jews. Each student will have the benefit of a Jewish Studies program which Continued on page 3

The Seder is one of the most beautiful Jewish home rituals, filled with the many festive symbols and sounds of the Passover holiday, and the Mitzvah of retelling the exodus from Egypt.

Extra copies of Rabbi WohlbergÊs popular Seder companion, „A TweetinÊ Pesach,‰ are available upon request. To request copies of this wonderful resource to enhance your familyÊs Seder, please stop by the Synagogue Office during regular weekday hours. Digital copies are also available on our website at www.bethtfiloh.com/ pesach.
Unfortunately, there are many people in our community who will not experience a Seder in its fullness simply because they have not been extended an invitation. These individuals may be college students, recent immigrants, newcomers to the area, those unable to travel to be with relatives, or otherwise unable to make a Seder for themselves. If you or someone you know would like to be either a Seder host or a Seder guest, please call the BT Pesach Hotline at 410-413-2290 or email mail@btfiloh.org, and we will be happy to make a „Seder match‰ for you.
