Memories from Simchat Torah
This year’s High Holiday season was brought to a spirited conclusion with the joyous celebration of Simchat Torah. Beginning with evening Hakafot and continuing the next day, this festive yom tov was truly outstanding from every possible angle. There were so many memorable moments -- fathers helping their sons carry a Torah during Hakafot, Kol Fusion’s beautiful Hallel, children dancing with ruach, the women’s Hakafot in the Tuvin Hall, dancing in the Sukkah, multiple generations of women hugging after emotional alliyot in the women’s Torah reading, the throng of children gathered under a giant talit for the Kol Ne’arim children’s alliyah, special Torah honors, and on and on. Here are some of our members’ favorite moments from Simchat Torah: “I loved how when we were dancing— friends pulled other friends into the dancing circle and you got to meet new people. I also loved how my friends, family, and I knew the brachot for an Aliyah and got to say our own Aliyah.” – Naomi (5th grade) “The celebration was just tremendous.
