Start and finish the holidays on a high note

T

he arrival of the High Holy Days marks both a start and a finish… a beginning and an end. This is reflected in the words of our High Holy Day prayers: “Tichleh shono v’killoloso teichal shana u’birkoso – may the old year end with all its curses and may the New Year begin with all of its blessings.” Here at Beth Tfiloh we would like you to experience the High Holy Days from start to finish… from beginning to end. Our prayers for the High Holy Days begin with the Selichot service on Saturday evening, September 20 at 10:45 pm, proceeded by a reception welcoming Rabbi Jonathan and Miriam Gross. Our High Holiday services

come to an end with Neilah at the conclusion of Yom Kippur. In our synagogue, these two services have become the most meaningful, the most unique and the most rewarding. Hazzan Albrecht – joined by others – has added a joy, a beat to familiar melodies that engages all those present. We hope that you and your friends will be present as well. We are making these services open to the public … you don’t have to have a ticket, you don’t even have to be a member of Beth Tfiloh. You just have to want to start and finish the New Year on a high note.

Look for your copy of the Beth Tfiloh Experience later this month, with a complete calendar of outstanding programs for adults, families, and children of all ages.
