Welcome to the 2023 Faces of Bethesda Magazine in its new form as a standalone magazine! As you may have noticed, there have been big changes afoot for Bethesda Magazine and its website. We recently rebranded to MoCo360, a name more reflective of the area we serve, and one that encapsulates our community-rooted values. While we have changed our overarching name, Bethesda Magazine is, and will continue to be, our flagship print offering. Always dynamic and never static, we want to be progressive, proactive, and reflective of the changes in our community while staying true to our readers who have called Bethesda Magazine their home magazine for almost 20 years.

Faces has been one of our most successful annual profile sections for the past seven years. It’s a place where business owners in our community can provide our readership with information—not just about their business and its place in the community, but about who they are as people. The sentiment that I’ve heard repeatedly from readers and advertisers (who are our readers, too) is that this profile section is not just informative, but also humanizing. Often, what our readers might discover about a business

leads directly to action. Whether it’s discovering a new doctor or trying out a new restaurant, these profiles serve our larger purpose of fostering community. And this is at the heart of our relationship with our readership.

That’s why, after years of running this profile section within the magazine, we have decided to give the 2023 Faces of Bethesda Magazine its own platform in the form of a stand-alone edition. We said from day one that if we did this, it had to look and feel different from anything we’ve done before—something noticeably unique. Due to our design team’s tireless work, we believe we have come up with a concept befitting this special section (now edition), and we could not be more excited to share this with you.
