Bethel students come up with getting-to-know you activities to break the ice. Maxfield Students doodle to add to visuals for the Maxfield Times. Maxfield Students learn the 5 Ws of Journalism: WHO WHAT WHEN WHERE WHY by reading and analyzing example stories written by Bethel students. WRITING THE STORY

Maxfield Students work with Bethel students to construct the interview information into a story. Most stories follow a simple format: five paragraphs, two to three good quotes.

Nov. 5

EDITING

Maxfield Students work with Bethel students to learn how to edit their story to make sure it’s fit for publication. The process involves critical thinking, writing with a focus, arranging information and paying attention to mechanics.
