Rabbi’S MESSAGE Dear Friends, On Passover, we embellish the story of leaving Egypt, telling one another— and ourselves— versions of the story of our march from slavery to freedom.

Rabbi We count the days David A. Schuck between Passover and Shavuot, the days that passed between leaving our oppressors and standing at the mountain of Revelation. But twelve days into our counting, we find ourselves right back in the hands of our brutal oppressors as we commemorate Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Remembrance Day. Not long after the celebration of our freedom, we mourn the horrors inflicted on our people by Nazi Germany; this is a reminder that the theme of anti-Semitism plays on a loop in Jewish history. And though these horrors were unimaginable, we have a duty to listen to those who survived them share their stories.

“These forty- two days have been awful.

Only those who live are scared of death; for the dead it is a salvation. Thus, my children, imagine such a picture: I am sitting in a

thick forest and fate willed that it should be exactly the same forest in which mother was born. An old, gray-haired man squatting on the earth; one would think that I was about seventy; my body is torn and bitten, and I have no shirt on, since I had to throw it away. I did not understand [until now] what a terrible plague the lice were with which Moses punished Pharaoh, as is written in the Pentateuch: “And the wise men could not stand before Pharaoh.” This means simply that the lice were eating them alive. Now I understand it, and it is an awful thing. How happy I would be if I could take a basin of hot water, do some washing, and put on a clean shirt and underwear; and then, may death arrive. That is that, my dear children. All is lost, but may I at least be the ransom for you, so that you, the survivors, the last spark left of our family, will not be extinguished.”

These words were written by Chaim Prinzental in a letter to his children who were living in Palestine in 1942; this was his opportunity to say goodbye to them. Fewer and fewer people who lived through the horrors of the Shoah are alive to share their stories with us. And their stories are sacred.

Chaim’s story is the story of so many of our parents and grandparents and we have an obligation to hear them. During

this time of aggressive Holocaust denial, it behooves us to listen to as many stories of survivors as possible. This is an important day to commemorate. This year, it falls on May 5th. I suggest that each family lights a yahrzeit candle and bear witness to the story of a survivor, if possible. Some have adopted the custom to fast on this day, and others refrain from engaging in entertaining activities. I encourage all families to speak with their children about the events of this horrific event in our history, and help them understand the practical lessons that we need to hold close to our minds and actions as Jews in the 21st Century.

May the memory of all who perished in the Shoah endure and inspire deeds of charity and goodness in our lives.

Environment, Sustainability, and Peace in Israel Shahar Sadeh • Thursday, June 16th, at 7:30 pm Israeli ScholarPractitioner Shahar Sadeh has been a visiting scholar in the Advanced Consortium on Cooperation, Conflict, and Complexity (AC4) at the Earth Institute in Columbia University and is currently a visiting scholar at New York University.

Shahar ’s research is focused on environmental protection, environmental diplomacy and promotion of peace and cooperation in the Middle East. She has investigated past and present efforts to establish Peace Parks on the mutual borders of Israel and its neighbors. In 2007 she cofounded and coordinated the “Van Leer

Jerusalem Forum on Environment and Regional Sustainability,” which focused on creating and enhancing cooperation among Israeli, Jordanian, and Palestinian environmental experts; and deepening knowledge on shared environmental issues and opportunities. Shahar worked with many NGOs in Israel and played a part in various environmental initiatives both on local and regional levels.

Shahar is a fellow at the Heschel Center for Environmental Learning and Leadership.

She serves as Director, Faculty Engagement Initiative, Israel & International Affairs of Jewish Community Relations Council of New York (JCRC-NY). Shahar earned her degrees from Tel Aviv University and received several prizes as a Ph.D. student (Yad Tabenkin award, the Tami Steinmetz Center 4

for Peace Research award and the University Institute for Diplomacy and Regional Cooperation award).

While some may disagree over whether or not this is the right time to seek peace—and whether peace is achievable—Shahar’s research examines the potential for the shared concern and interest in the environment to serve as a catalyst for cooperation and diplomacy in a peace–challenged Middle East.

president’S MESSAGE 62nd Annual Beth El Gala Coming Soon—Get Ready to Celebrate and Party!!

Dear Friends: In about a month, on Sunday June 5th, at 5:30 pm, we will celebrate at our 62nd Annual Gala honoring Elise and Barry Richman. In addition to our honorees, Shery and Howard Rosenstein will be the recipients of the President’s Ne’emanim Service Award.

The theme of this year’s Gala is “Who is wise? One who learns from all people,” from Pirkei Avot.

We have such great plans for the evening. The format will be similar to last year’s Gala, with some exciting additions. We will have a delicious and abundant smörgåsbord with all the trimmings, followed by an meaningful and entertaining program, and then a fabulous band, dancing, and dessert (similar to last year, there will be no sit-down dinner). More importantly, it will be a fun evening to dress up and celebrate with your friends and the Beth El community.

Of course, we would like everyone to attend. However, if you cannot make it in person, there are other ways to participate.

notes from the hazzan Music is in the air, and this month brings several great musical opportunities to Beth El. The first is something that has been in the making for a long time, and something about which I am extremely excited.

Many years ago, I was the guest hazzan at Hazzan Jamie Gloth a colleague’s Cantor-in-Residence weekend.

I led most of the services, taught and spoke, but one service I did not lead was Kabbalat Shabbat, the opening Friday evening service that ushers in the Sabbath. My friend told me how she and a few congregants had recently reinvigorated the service, and wanted me to witness it firsthand. And I am glad that she did, because I was so overwhelmed that I was almost moved to tears.

They began with a niggun, a wordless melody, to introduce the service. It started slowly and softly, and gradually accelerated into a fast tempo by the end. Practically every one of the 80-or-so people who were there joined in—young, old and in-between—and the feeling was awe-inspiring. The sense of Shabbat spirit was palpable, and provided an incredible sense of community.

Similar services have become popular at congregations around the country, and have become extremely successful almost across the board. I have wanted to bring such an experience to Beth El, and it is finally here. On Friday, May 13th, we will introduce a new and reinvigorated monthly Friday night service called “Sing Out Shabbat.” It will include more upbeat melodies, more congregational singing, and a lot more ruach, spirit. And for the first month, a discounted Shabbat dinner with continued singing afterwards will follow. But spirited music alone is not what will make Sing Out Shabbat a success. The idea is to invite everyone present to participate more fully. The goal is to bring us all together. We will attempt to bring a fresh, engaging Shabbat spirit to anyone who might feel disenfranchised, and to give him or her the opportunity to feel connected as we worship as a community.

We will use accessible, easy-to-sing congregational melodies, some traditional and some new, that will enable people of all ages to participate. We want you to sing out in whatever way moves you—in harmony, with “yai dai dai,” or simply by tapping out the beat. You need not know the words. You need only to be able to feel the ruach and join in.

Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel once wrote: It is not enough to articulate a sound. Unless one understands that the word is stronger than the will; unless one knows how to approach a word with all the joy, the hope or the grief one owns, prayer will hardly come to pass. The words must not fall off our lips like dead leaves in the autumn. They must rise like birds out of the heart into the vast expanse of eternity.

It is my hope that Sing Out Shabbat will help us lift up our prayers by lifting up our voices together. This service is for everyone, of any age. You just have to like to sing. The first such service will debut on Friday, May 13th, at a special time, 6:30 pm. It will be followed by a congregational dinner for only $10/adults and $5/ kids. Later this month, come celebrate Israel’s 68th birthday at our Yom HaAtzma’ut Celebration BBQ on Sunday, May 15th, 11:00 am - 1:30 pm. Join us for great food and live music from an Israeli band. There is no charge (except for food available for purchase).

Finally, I am delighted to be able to honor our teacher, mentor, and friend, Cantor Lawrence Avery, z”l, on the occasion of his first yahrzeit. Many amazing singers will join together in concert for Shiru! A Memorial Tribute to Cantor Lawrence Avery, z”l, on Wednesday evening, May 25th, at 7:00 pm. Please come and join us as we celebrate his music and his legacy. Details are on the cover page.

Contemplative Minyan with Rabbi Schuck Saturday, May 7th • 10:00 am-11:00 am Come join Rabbi Schuck for a contemplative minyan. We will set aside time for singing, study, prayer, and meditation. The purpose of a contemplative minyan is to slow the pace of our lives down and to listen to what emerges from the silence. Rather than speed through the liturgy, we will focus our attention on one or two prayers, as well as one text about spiritual practice. Annual Minyan Breakfast

Dr. Abe Walfish, Cantor Uri Aqua, and Rabbi David Schuck On Sunday, April 10th, more then sixty congregants attended our Annual Minyan Breakfast. Rabbi Schuck spoke about the topic, “Where is the mourner in the Mourner’s Prayer (i.e. Kaddish),” and Cantor Aqua handed out siddurim to Beth El members who had finished saying Kaddish for a loved one during the past eleven months.

At the event, we honored Dr. Abe Walfish for his consistency in attending the minyan over the past thirty-six years. Dr. Walfish has been a minyannaire since his mother passed away in 1980.

Cantor Aqua made a plea for others to join Dr. Walfish in supporting our minyan.

We at Beth El pride ourselves in offering a minyan twice daily at sunrise and sunset.

The Hebrew Home at Riverdale houses a collection of more than 5,000 mostly modern and contemporary works of art by a roster of world-class artists, in addition to 1,400 Jewish ceremonial objects that constitute the Derfner Judaica Museum. The Derfner Museum, along with a sculpture garden overlooking the Hudson River, makes for a unique visit.

Artworks by Robert Rauschenberg, Ellsworth Kelly, Marc Chagall, and Alex Katz adorn the walls. There is a fabric and paper collage by Romare Bearden, and a drawing by Diego Rivera. A corridor is lined with 10 silk-screened portraits by Andy Warhol and a few of William Wegman’s photolithographs of his bedecked Weimaraner dog.

Keruv* Korner At our last Let’s Talk About It gathering, we reflected on the cross-generational change in attitude among American Conservative Jews toward our children who intermarry.

Fifty years ago, a parent might sit shiva for the child who intermarried and never again speak to him or her. Twenty-five years ago, it was not uncommon for parents to malign their child’s chosen partner as “not good enough.” Today, parents are more likely to speak of how wonderful the child’s significant other is, if only he or she were Jewish.

The concern with Jewish continuity and our response to it reminds me of a Talmudic story to which Rabbi Schuck has referred.

Gamliel, the grandson of the great sage Hillel, was the first head of the Sanhedrin outside of Jerusalem after the Temple fell to Rome. He was understandably apprehensive about the survival of the Jewish people.

However, in his fervor to establish a uniform standard for Jewish practice, he could be harsh and dictatorial. His fellow rabbis became so disturbed by his mistreatment of a young Rabbi Elazar ben Azaria, who respectfully disagreed with Gamliel, that

they deposed the elder and asked Rabbi Elazar to be in charge.

Gamliel used to be very discriminating about whom he would allow in to study with the rabbis, himself judging the worthiness of each person who tried to enter. When Elazar took over, he threw open the doors.

So many people came in, eager to study, that the rabbis had to bring in many more benches. Gamliel, witnessing this, became distraught, recognizing that for years he had been preventing so many from learning and drawing close to God. I am sure you see the parallel I am drawing. The parents who sit shiva for their intermarried child are unlikely to see Jewish grandchildren from that couple. The pain suffered by parents whose children choose to intermarry is real and valid, but must be tempered by the stories we hear from parents who opened their homes and shared their treasured traditions with their intermarried children, often despite internal pain and conflict. The latter now attend Passover Seders at the homes of these same children, watch their grandchildren be

called to the Torah for bar and bat mitzvahs, marvel at how involved their non-Jewish son- or daughter-in-law has become in their respective synagogues. Is this always the case? Obviously not, whether intermarried or in-married. However, a sociologic study done this decade found that among adults who were raised as Conservative Jews, whether they in-married or intermarried, their children were equally likely to identify as Jewish and marry Jews! Interestingly, whether a child self-identified as Jewish was determined not by whether both parents were Jewish, but by whether they were told they were Jewish.

BeTzelem Elokim HOLDS KULANU SERVICE our first Kulanu Shabbat Experience. It was an informal, family-friendly program designed to be accessible for children with specials needs, including ASD and/or intellectual impairments.

Dan and Ron Burton led an incredibly moving service, filled with lots of singing, short stories, and manipulatives. We engaged six families, and there were a handful of others whom were excited about the idea, but unable to attend.

During the Kulanu service, we did not say all of the prayers and we may not have sung the ones we did to the most traditional tunes.

Nevertheless, it was one of the most meaningful and moving services that I have had the honor of being a part of at Beth El. Whether the children were participating in the Royal parade as Kings and Queens, welcoming Shabbat, knowing that the cow in our Shabbat story could wish everyone a Shabbat Shalom, by saying moo or simply sitting on the lap of a loved one, while everyone hummed Lecha Dodi, every person in that room—child, sibling, parent, and grandparent—found some avenue of connection.

When I think about the Arbah Banim, and specifically the child who doesn’t know how to ask a question, as a Jewish community we have an obligation to engage each and every child in a way that is appropriate and meaningful for them. I look forward to working together to create many more Kulanu experiences, as we continue to strive connect Jewishly and engage each and every child in way that is meaningful and appropriate for them.

As we sat around the Seder table (last month) and read from the Passover Haggadah, we told the story of Arbah Banim, four children participating in the holiday celebration. Each child was different, whether due to personality traits or intellectual capability.

Nevertheless, each one of those children sat at the Seder table and engaged with the thousands-of-year-old tradition in a way that was appropriate and meaningful for him or her.

Each one of the first three children asks questions. Their question enables them to connect and better understand the story of the exodus from their unique disposition. But, the fourth and final child, who does not know how to ask a question, is unable to do so.

There have been multiple interpretations of this fourth child. He is often portrayed as toddler, someone too young to fully grasp the concepts and themes associated with the holiday. Nevertheless, I would like to suggest a different interpretation. Perhaps that child is not too young, but rather incapable due to an intellectual disability, of even asking a question. This child, too, deserves the opportunity to connect to Judaism, and engage with Jewish tradition in a way that is meaningful for them. Pirkei Avot teaches us Hinuch LaNaar, Al Pi Darco, that we have a responsibility to educate each and every child according to their capabilities and, in that regard, the fourth child is no different. The fourth children among us may not be able to ask for themselves, but we have a responsibility to ask for them, enabling all our children to experience the richness and vibrancy of Jewish tradition in a way that is appropriate and meaningful for them.

Memories to Go: Our Stories about the Twentieth Century

by Ruth Kon Je Suis Uruguayan 20,000 Jews live in the capital city of Montevideo. Uruguayan Jews have lived harmoniously and in peace with their fellow citizens for over 100 years. So it was a great shock for me to learn that a Muslem convert recently murdered a Jewish shopkeeper in Paysandu while claiming, “Allah is great.” The murderer told police that Allah had told him to find a Jew and kill him. The victim, 54-year old David Fremd, had been crossing the street with one of his sons when the killer lunged at him, stabbing him in the back fifteen times. The son was also injured, but is expected to survive.

David Fremd was active in his local Jewish community. His murderer stated that the attack was a deliberate attempt to target the Jewish community. I am shocked by both the murder and the motive, because the Uruguay that I know is a place of tolerance and respect. That violent Islamic fundamentalism can reach so far down to the end of the earth and undermine the benevolent national character of a small, sleepy, and friendly country like Uruguay, is extremely disturbing to me.

When I think about the many tragic and shocking terrorist attacks around the world recently, I am stunned by all the senseless killing of innocents. However, I seem to be most affected by one terrorist act in particular, which gained very little international media attention. This attack occurred in my home country of Uruguay, in the city of Paysandu.

I visited Paysandu countless times while working for a Uruguayan agricultural company. The company owned many lots of land in the area, including a sugar factory and a beer factory. Uruguay is divided into nineteen departamentos (counties) and Paysandu is in the North, not far from the Brazilian border. I remember it as a small, charming, colonial town, typical of South America, with a plaza (a square) in the middle of town, surrounded by the local church, the hotel, the police station, and a few stores and restaurants. Most of the population work in the fields or raise cattle and sheep. They are a friendly and hard working people.

Although Paysandu has a small Jewish community, I was never especially aware of it, since most of Uruguay’s approximately

Nursery School NEWS Our 4-year-old Anaf children had a visit from Yaffa Segal, a seventh grader and former Beth El Nursery School student, who decided to take on recycling and composting as her Bat Mitzvah project. Many of the children had never heard the word “composting.” They knew about recycling, yet in the classroom, all trash had been going into one large bin.

We learned many new things from Yaffa and her family regarding their dedication to the environment. They taught us all about the concepts of recycling—where to put different items of trash, why it is important to use reusable containers and lunch boxes, and why we should renew, reuse, and recycle. We played matching games and even decorated a large compost container, which is now near the middle parking lot. Yaffa got us excited to sort our trash into the correct bins, to compost, and to take care of our environment.

Now, when we are in the classroom, during cleanup time, the children ask questions such as, “Where does this paper go?” or “Can I throw out my yogurt container or should I rinse it out to recycle

it?” The Anaf class works cooperatively after we finish snack and lunch each day to remind each other of what gets composted and what doesn’t (no dairy, meat, or bones).

The children are becoming more aware of the different recycling containers and their purposes—green is for commingled items, blue is for paper, trash goes in the regular trash can, plastic bags are separate and food scraps get composted. When our small compost container is full, we bring it outside to dump it into the large bin Yaffa set up for us. We know that composting is very good for the soil and the environment, even though it smells bad.

We didn’t have a green bin for commingled items, so one of the children converted a white one for us. Thank you to Yaffa for educating our class on the benefits of recycling. We look forward to seeing you again in June when you will be coming back to teach us in greater depth about composting. These children, now four- and five-years-old, are the future. We love to see them excited about taking care of the world around us!

Yaffa Segal shared some words about her enriching experience with our Nursery School children: In the spirit of tikkun olam, I returned to the Nursery School that promoted my love of teva to teach about recycling at Beth El Nursery School. On Friday, March 25th, the Anaf class eagerly participated in an interactive educational session, where we learned how to properly recycle. I think it is important for people to learn about recycling at a young age, so that it becomes a part of what they do every day and they will always remember it. I created this class in the hopes that the kids will teach their parents, grandparents, and friends about recycling, and set an example for their peers.

I developed the curriculum as part of my Bat Mitzvah project because I believe that it is our duty as inhabitants of the earth to take better care and preserve it. Some adults don’t realize how endangered our planet actually is, and if everyone contributes to the fight against pollution, we can save the earth for my generation and future generations to come.

Israeli Artist Gregory Niemetz in Museum, May 21 – June 26 The late Gregory Niemetz (1900-1978) had a remarkable life and significant success as an artist. Known simply as “Gregory” or “Grisha,” he was born in Kiev to a wealthy family (his father owned several factories and a bank). He grew up in Riga, which was then part of Russia. He had started studying medicine when the Russian Revolution began in 1917. While he never joined either the White or Red armies, he fought against the Bolsheviks’ radical factions, which operated much like today’s ISIS. In total, he went out on about seventy sorties during this time.

According to his family, he fled Russia around 1920 because he thought he was on a list to be executed for having killed a number of Bolshevik soldiers. He sailed to Varna, Bulgaria. There, he met his wife and started a family.

In Bulgaria he worked in the Banca Italiana (a bank founded with the help of his father) as the head of customer relations. A talented raconteur, sportsman, and hunter, Gregory also raised prize-winning Angora rabbits. He was permitted to live in Varna during World War II, but he was dismissed from the bank due to his religion.

Following the war, the Soviet Union, which then controlled Bulgaria, became increasingly interested in Gregory because of his anti-Bolshevik activities during the Russian Revolution. As a result, in 1948 Gregory decided to emigrate to Israel. He

was on board a ship bound for Israel, which was held up in port because of the Soviets’ interest in him. Thanks to pressure applied by a local Jewish organization, his ship was permitted to sail to Israel. His wife and two sons followed in 1949.

Gregory’s first job in Israel was picking oranges for a kibbutz. He then settled in Kfar Ata (now Kiryat Ata) and became a night watchman in a bonded warehouse. About 1956, a Customs policeman at the warehouse showed him some paintings he had done.

Gregory said, “I didn’t like them. I could do better, and I started painting to show him.”

He became a self-taught, naïve painter, doing mainly oils on board or Masonite.

He painted animals, people, landscapes, seascapes, and nudes. He even painted his own grave with mourners “because no one else will.” He did not use models. He mostly painted from memory or imagination.

Because the warehouse job did not pay well, he bought a cart and mule (Marco) in 1958 and worked as a drayman during the day.

Locally, he was known as “Grisha the carter,” 12

as he was called in an article in The Jerusalem Post when it reviewed his first exhibit in 1966. A review of another exhibit in Haeretz Shelanu in 1967 said that he should be called a painter, not a painter-carter.

He retired from the warehouse in 1965 because his wife became ill.

He continued to paint and exhibited widely, however. Outside of Israel, he exhibited in Germany, Great Britain, Argentina, South Africa, and the United States. He was not only financially successful, but he also donated paintings for Israel’s war efforts and to the Ilan-Israel Foundation for Handicapped Children. Dr. Will Sandberg, an art advisor to the Israel Museum, chose four paintings that Gregory donated to the museum.

Gregory actually lived in New Rochelle for a year or two with his older son (now deceased), who was the chief of hematology at the Bronx Veterans Administration Hospital and a professor of medicine at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. His other son was a chief engineer in the Israeli Merchant Navy, and has lived in Florida for many years. Gregory died in Israel.

Everyone is invited to the opening reception on Sunday, May 22nd, 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm, where you can meet some of Gregory’s family. You can visit the museum at any other time when the synagogue is open. If the room is locked, please get the key from the office or from the greeter at the front door.

All congregants are invited to worship with us as our talented Sisterhood members lead all aspects of the service. Speaking of Vicki, we are planning a wonderful evening in her honor on Tuesday, May 24th, at our Annual Sisterhood Spring Gala. The word “honor” can have many meanings, including high respect and esteem, integrity, dignity, and pride. We have great respect for Vicki and hold her in very high esteem. She is a person of

great integrity, who has contributed much to Sisterhood over the years, and it is with great pride that we honor her and we hope all members of the congregation will join us. The month of May also marks the celebration of Yom HaAtzma’ut, and we are pleased that Sisterhood was able to donate the funds to purchase a giant Israeli flag that will grace the front of the Beth El Synagogue Center building. YOUTH & FAMILY ENGAGEMENT Jen’s Corner The Torah talks about water in many different ways. The world, we are told, actually began from water and it wasn’t until the second day of creation (Genesis 1:6) that land comes to exist to break up the water.

Water is also the place of transformation, as we know from the flood in Parashat Noah, which pressed a reset button on the world; or the crossing of the Red Sea, which brought the Israelites from their lives as slaves into their lives as free people. Water is also a symbol of loving kindness (Abraham uses water to wash his guests’ feet in Genesis 18:4, and Rebecca gives water to Abraham’s servant and his camels in Genesis 24:1719). Water is also the source of sustenance (remember Moses and water from a rock, in Exodus 17:6 and Number 20:11).

Today, organizations like Mayyim Chayim, in Boston, and ImmerseNYC, in New York, are reclaiming the transformative powers of water through mikvah immersion.

Mikvah (ritual bath) immersion is an ancient practice that honors the sacred nature of our experiences and our bodies.

Immersions can mark life transitions, such as weddings, births, healing from illness or trauma, significant birthdays, b’nei mitzvah, divorce, pregnancy loss, fertility struggles, and mourning.

Many of you have heard me talking about my experience in the ImmerseNYC Mikvah Guide Training earlier this year.

It was a powerful fifteen-hour training that explored active listening and ritual cocreation as a way of using the mikvah (ritual bath) to mark threshold moments in the lives of Jewish people. I’m excited to share that I am now working with ImmerseNYC to guide immersions at the Mikvah of New Rochelle, just down North Avenue from Beth El. I’d love to talk to you more about mikvah immersion and what it could bring to your life! Stop in or give me a call!

Special Needs Seder a Success What a wonderful night! Was it a party?

Of sorts! Was it a concert? In part! Was it a communal meal? Yummily so! Was it a religious experience? For sure! What was it? The Special Needs Seder held through WJCS for disabled adults. Once again, over 140 guests and 65 volunteers celebrated the coming of Passover with questions, songs, discussions, poetry, and dance, dance, dance.

We had more people up dancing. They were doing conga lines, horas, and even rap to experience the joy of the upcoming holiday.

Rabbi Schuck, Hazzan Gloth, Rabbi Dorsch, and Cantor Aqua led us ably and with enthusiasm. It is unclear who enjoyed themselves more, the guests or the volunteers.

A moving experience was had by all!

Willow Gardens: Westchester’s Newest Memory Care Residence

Opening in March 2016, Willow Gardens Memory Care will be Westchester County’s only nonprofit assisted living residence devoted exclusively to Alzheimer’s Disease and related dementias.
