RELIGIOUS STUDIES

Bethany College’s religious studies program is distinctive in its dual focus on social justice and gender studies. You’ll gain global, religious, and cultural literacy while developing the critical-thinking and writing skills needed for success in a variety of fields.

As a religious studies major, you’ll learn to care about, respect, and enjoy religious diversity. With small, discussion-based classes, you’ll engage deeply with scholars, ideas, and traditions—and your professors will know you personally, guiding you toward your goals.

ABOUT BETHANY COLLEGE

Bethany College, founded in 1840, is the oldest private college in West Virginia. The Bethany experience focuses on academic excellence in the area of liberal arts and prepares future leaders for a lifetime of work and a life of significance.
