At Bethany College, our history program is as rich and storied as the College itself. You’ll learn to think critically about the past and analyze how historical events have shaped the world we live in today. Through courses in European, United States, and world history, you’ll explore the political, military, and diplomatic moments that transformed societies—and the economic, cultural, and artistic developments that continue to shape human thought and creativity. As you develop critical thinking and research skills, you’ll also strengthen your writing through term papers, projects, and a senior capstone experience.
ABOUT BETHANY COLLEGE Bethany College, founded in 1840, is the oldest private college in West Virginia. The Bethany experience focuses on academic excellence in the area of liberal arts and prepares future leaders for a lifetime of work and a life of significance. Our campus is located on 1,300 beautiful acres in the foothills of the Allegheny Mountains, just one mile from Pennsylvania and five miles from Ohio.
