GERMAN STUDIES

Experience culture. Cultivate language.

Bethany College’s German studies program offers an interdisciplinary approach to language and culture, allowing you to shape your studies to match your interests. You’ll have the flexibility to include a range of courses that complement your focus, and during upper-level courses and your senior capstone project, you’ll explore advanced topics in German language and culture.

A cornerstone of the program is a fully integrated semester-long stay at the University of Education in Heidelberg, Germany—an experience essential to language development and cultural proficiency. On campus, you’ll engage with the German Club, help organize short-term study trips, and assist professors in beginner German courses.
