Student Opportunities
At Bethany, we encourage you to apply to national and international companies and government agencies through their internship programs. Cybersecurity alumni recommend PNC Financial Services, ZeroChaos, Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe, LLP, WesBanco, Inc., and the Honors Internship Program at the FBI.
As a cybersecurity student, you will have the chance to get involved in student-led activities and organizations that complement your academic experience and build your professional network. Join our math and computer science club for weekly game nights, an annual math and science day for local schools, and field trips to places like the Museum of Math, the Smithsonian, and NASA facilities. Our cybersecurity club hosts activities, invites security experts to campus, and takes trips to attend cybersecurity events and conferences. Advanced students may be asked to join Upsilon Pi Epsilon, our chapter of the international honor society for the computing and information disciplines.
One of Bethany’s unique features is our ZeroChaos Cybersecurity Lab. The lab provides students with the opportunity to simulate cyberattacks without harming any network in a controlled environment. It is an airgapped lab completely separated from the College’s network and internet to ensure the security of any surrounding computers/networks. The lab is funded through a contribution from ZeroChaos, a global provider of workforce management solutions that help organizations achieve greater management and financial control of their workforce and talent supply chains.
