The concept draws inspiration from the natural world and the rich history that surrounds Dallas, Texas. The structure of this space draws inspiration from the curvilinear shape of Dealey Plaza. This area serves as a metaphorical stepping stone, and a symbol of the city’s journey through time, emphasizing the interconnectedness of the past, present, and future. The materials used, such as wood, metal and stone symbolize the strength and resilience that echo through the design firm. The interior intertwines with sleek modern aesthetics, creating an area that is sopisticated, current
and
relevant
into
the
ever
evolving world of architecture and design.
Dealey Plaza is a city park located on the west end of the historic district in downtown Dallas. It holds historical significance as both a gathering place and the birthplace of the city, mostly notably known as the site of President John F. Kennedy’s tragic assassination in 1963. Renowned for its curvilinear design, the plaza serves as a witness to numerous milestones, that have shaped Dallas’s evolution over time.
Axonometric - The workstations and cafe area are designed to be a an organic and fluid blend that create a relationship with one another. This area promotes movement and socializing.

Kinetic Records skybox was influenced by the nature of EDM music “vibrant energy”
and
self
expression.
The
atmosphere of EDM is usually represented through
bright
neon
colors,
pulsating
LED lighting and electric buzz in the air that immerses the user into the music. Design Concept: The design aims to transport users into a transcendental space that evokes a sense of wonder, exploration and boundless imagination into the world of sound. By incorporating sleek curvilinear shapes that symbolize the fluidity of the music, using a color palette with rich hues to emphasize a sense of luxury and depth. Dynamic lighting creates an innovative space that captivates the users into an unforgettable experience.

DJIGUI Refugee Shelter | Fall 2022 | 1 Week
IDEC Sudent Desgin Competition In collaboration with Kierstin Godfrey, Abby Kelican, and Nicole Castro
Djigui is a refugee shelter that evokes safety, security, and wellbeing for the Burkinabe people. The overall design is based on a modular system centered around the continuity and connectivity of the people of Mossi and their strong community values. Djigui aspires to bring security to its occupants by creating a strong sense of privacy through visual disclosure
while
working
with
the
separation of public vs. private sectors. This minimal and simplistic design allows for adaptability among an area of uncertainty.
IDEC COMPETITION STUDENT VOTES AWARD
The Belem family of six, a single mother and her five children, have migrated from central Burkina Faso, to the Southwest region of the country. After experiencing increasing governmental instability in recent years, armed groups have forced displacement among what they once considered home. They have migrated in search of fertile land in hopes of obtaining economic security and safety against malicious groups. They intend to find a secure shelter that leads to an increased opportunity for work, healthy living, and overall safety. The Belem family comes from Mossi descent where they have strong ties to agriculture and pastoralism. With the Mossi people being the largest ethnic group in Burkina Faso, they are known to be a strong group capable of preserving their identity and social structure, even against the most powerful forces. Due to the strong values of family placed throughout Mossi’s society, their culture thrives off cohesiveness which their shelters intend to provide. While occupying this shelter, the Belem family will sustain ongoing relations with other Mossi community members who have traveled to Southwest Burkina Faso in search of the same opportunities. Their new habitat will help aid the Belem family as they navigate life under unfamiliar environmental conditions by providing both security and growth through the cohesiveness of their community.
Burkina Fasto is located in West Africa, roughly around 105,900 square miles. It is a lowincome area with a limited amount resources. More than 40 percent of the population in Burkina Fasto are below the poverty line. Because of this, we wanted to design a space that was cost efficient and adaptable, while still having a sustainable mindset. Spatial Diagram

The overarching idea behind this design concept is to evoke a sense of movement and fluidity throughout the space. Curvilinear forms are utilized not only for aesthetic appeal but also to guide occupants through the environment, encouraging exploration and
interaction.

keeping
material
choices minimal, the focus remains squarely on the elegant lines and organic shapes that define the space. This co-working workspace visually invites the occupant, creating the

My inital thought when designing a coworking office was to create a space that evokes movement. Ocean waves create a great sense of energy, zen, and flow.
Workstations Perspective
The tech company I chose to base my design around was Fitbit. Fitbit is an electronic fitness tracking company that monitors any type of movement such as walking, running, sleeping, etc. I wanted to design a space that emphasizes movement, whether it be from the curvilinear shapes of the hot desks to the treadmill stand-up desk. Being active is an important mission of the company to stay healthy, both physically and emotionally.
