The November Sproul Lanes Student of the Month is Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr senior Erin Corcoran!
Erin received a Certificate of Achievement, and looks forward to enjoying her award: a “Pizza Bowl” party courtesy of Sproul Lanes, our Sponsor of this program.
Erin, “a model of service, leadership, and friendship,” joined her school’s Community Service Corps (CSC) in her freshman year, to serve others, to lead and to motivate others to serve by example. After the pandemic ended their CSC’s outreach to help feed the homeless in Kensington, Erin decided to continue that service project on her own.
As Co-Leader of her school’s Social Justice Book Club, Erin makes the most of the club’s meetings and activities, to help herself and all club members become educated about the world’s many problems, and be ready to help solve some of those problems in the future.

November Sproul Lanes Student of the Month Erin Corcoran
This year, Erin is serving as Editor of her school’s monthly newspaper, The Beat, for which she has written all types of articles for 4 years. She is also a Senior Mathlete, and she helped co-found her school’s Reading Olympics team last year. Both of those activities are opportunities for Erin to serve on teams that compete against other schools.
Erin loves volleyball and looks forward to her 4th year on SHA’s Varsity Volleyball Team. Last year, she served as the team’s Co-Captain, and this year, she’ll be Captain. Her skill earned her being named last year to the All-DELCO and All-Pennsylvania Volleyball Teams. She loves the great friendships and opportunities to mentor new players to be successful on and off the court.
Erin appreciates that she was “raised to look out for others,” and is considering a career in Nursing as a way to combine her love of science with her love of helping and interacting with people.
