CYCLING VERNON
The Vernon region in B.C. is bursting with cycling adventures, fabulous accommodations and amenities that will keep you coming back for more.
Experience the 52km Okanagan Rail Trail, one of the most scenic gravel/e-bike rides along the spectacular Kalamalka Lake. The Okanagan Rail Trail is great during all four seasons, but if you want to join a riding event, check out the Okanagan Rail Ride that takes place this fall on Sept. 10.

The giant 105km Vernon loop for roadies offers a mammoth all-in-one adventure — or take it on in sections. Great re-fuelling spots include the Cambium Cider Co, Davison Orchards, and The Rise Golf Course which features an amazing view.
Test your mettle on Silver Star Road, the iconic Okanagan hill climb ascending 1,445m, one of the top five road climbs in Canada.
For more adventures, explore the road cycling routes around Predator Ridge Resort, a climb that’s as challenging as you want to make it. End up at the winery patio for a well-deserved break before returning to Vernon via the Okanagan Rail Trail.

If mountain biking’s your game there are countless amazing trails in Kalamalka Lake Provincial Park (Kal Park), or check out the routes around Ellison Provincial Park that link up with the Predator Ridge trail system. Predator Ridge added about 5km of new trails in spring 2023 and the network is expected to see continued expansion.

The popular Killer King Route is a 50km cross-country style single-track loop that takes you through the very best trails of Kal Park and the King Eddie Plateau.
Shop and dine by bike in the City of Vernon which features multi-use pathways and bicycle-friendly businesses that offer bicycle parking inside, or bike corrals next to patios. Cruise the inner-city multi-use pathway or venture out on the Grey Canal trail surrounding Vernon — e-bike rentals are also a great option.
