Fado is the king of the night, still. A handful of Fado houses in Bairro Alto tend to take care of business but other neighborhoods like Sé, Alfama and Castelo have more than a words to say about the singing and the unique lament of the portuguese guitar. Cosy bars with fado for a twist are also not to be missed. And some restaurants add to it the occasional traditional danced folklore.
