A heartfelt thank you to the New Hampshire Liquor Commission for their continued support of Best Buddies New Hampshire!
Dear Friends, Welcome to the 2020 Best Buddies NH Virtual Champion of the Year Gala! We are so happy you are here. My experience with Best Buddies began at a networking event about three years ago. The President of the Advisory Board, Ron Noyes, and I met. I shared my desire to find a way to give back, especially to a program that supports children in our local community. Ron shared his rewarding experience working with Best Buddies NH and I was hooked. Now, in addition to serving on the Advisory Board, I won the 2019 Champion of the Year competition. Through that experience I found a passion for Best Buddies that reached far beyond the competition for Grand Champion, (which admittedly was my initial driving force.) The game changer for me was meeting my “Champion Campaign Manager, Ian. He fueled my competitive fire with his enthusiastic and infectious nature. He is a man you cannot say no to. We worked together to create some FUNdraising events and enjoyed getting to know each other along the way. Learning all the aspects of life that Best Buddies encompasses is astounding. Offering support in schools, life, advocacy and career not only give life to our program participants but also to their families.
Every person matched in our friendship programs, disability or not, and their families, are changed for the better. Local businesses are strengthened by the pleasant and dedicated employees they discover with our participants ( yes, the JOBS program will be coming to NH!). And every single Champion that says yes is forever changed by the magic of this experience! Thank you for your support of Best Buddies NH and supporting the lives of those with IDD here in our community!
