ADD IMAGE This eight-week philanthropic competition, hosted by Best Buddies in Palm Beach, celebrates local professionals and community leaders throughout the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast area who have been nominated as “Champions” to raise funds and increase awareness for the mission of Best Buddies. The highlight of the evening is when the candidate who has raised the most donations — surpassing all rivals in the competition — is awarded the “2020 Best Buddies Champion of the Year” title. Proceeds from the Gala will go directly to Best Buddies in Palm Beach to create more friendships, support integrated employment, develop leadership opportunities, and open new programs for thousands of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities within the Palm Beach and Treasure Coast communities. We could not do this without our Champions, Campaign Managers, and you. Thank you!

Dear Friends We are grateful that you are attending this year’s virtual event for the Best Buddies Champion of the Year Gala in Palm Beach. Though we are not together physically, friendship is not cancelled! This year’s celebration still features a high energy auction by Joe Girvan and an inspiring message of friendship and social inclusion brought to you by our featured Buddy Pair, Christina and Anna.

The Value of Your Donation Supports Best Buddies helps form meaningful friendships, secure successful jobs, live independently, improve public speaking, self-advocacy and communications skills, all while feeling valued by society.

$5,000 • A middle school, high school, or college Chapter for a year • The cost of the room and food to host 250+ Best Buddies members to the statewide Friendship Ball $2,500 • Fund an all-day training session for up to 50 people where attendees gain public speaking skills and confidence to champion for inclusion • Bus to transport a school chapter to Friendship Walk or Friendship Ball $1,000 • The cost to send a Buddy to the Leadership Conference (Registration and Air) • DJ or photo booth for a statewide Best Buddies event $500 • Registration for a buddy to attend the Leadership Conference • The cost of a flight to send a student leader to the Leadership Conference in Indiana $350 • Citizens/Ambassador bowling party • The cost of buying t-shirts for a school chapter $250 • Transportation for 2 Ambassadors to give public speeches • The cost of a pizza party for a school chapter

Kim Champion & Ethan Litman Kim Champion and Ethan Litman raised over $30,000 for Best Buddies in Palm Beach’s programs last year. Kim Champion is the founder and President of Champion Home Health Care and has served nonprofits for over 25 years. Ethan Litman was a senior at Olympic Heights High School at the time, the #1 fundraising school in the nation. He was also a hero in his Marine Corps JROTC program. Today, he is a member of our Citizens Adult Friendship program and spends a lot of time at his job as a bagger at Publix.
