Theme and analysis：

If a good man who never confesses is a caterpillar, a bad man who always confesses is a butterfly.

If you think of caterpillars and butterflies as two species, the birth of butterflies is essentially a small number of dormant cells, which are suddenly awakened when enough nutrients have been absorbed. The caterpillar is just the feed of the butterfly, and when it reaches a critical point, it breaks out of its parasitic host like an alien.

The unrepentant good man, who honors his inner morality and goes his own way, does not care about God. Such people are silent, even eccentric. These people construct their own complete inner world.

We can see God as the moral values and standards of many people, and when these good people place their ideas in the eyes of God, they will see many differences. They repent for it. Frequent confessions can become an empty ritual. Just like butterflies are beautiful, light, symmetrical. But they are also short-lived and weak.

These two opposite personalities, one is internal and the other is external. People maintain a reverence for their inner self, even if it is subjective and selfish and dark, while pretending to be humble and self-reflective in front of others. One's moral sense is so fickle, mutually exclusive and mutually restrictive. So in essence, a good person who never confesses and a bad person who confesses regularly form a whole “perfect” human being. Just as butterflies and caterpillars are essentially creatures - only because nature has ordered them so that they are unable to freely switch their own image. The human heart is complex, pure, but also corrupt.

There are black and white butterflies around the picture and on the woman's eyes, which reflects the above analysis of the theme. My artwork analysis This painting of mine draws on some of the color combinations of the two painters I studied above. By using the collision of blue-purple and turquoise, the color of the whole painting is more fresh and dreamy. At the same time, by using a metallic silver pen to outline the dark lines, I depicted the purple around the painting as hydrangeas. Above the background and jellyfish painted in color. I also drew jellyfish and rough butterflies with silver strokes. The prototype next to the jellyfish symbolizes a circular mirror, with silver lines like reflections. Next to these elements I have written the Latin name of the Styx jellyfish.

Jellyfish and mirrors are the subjects of my paintings. The title of the work refers to an image of flow and change. Mirrors symbolize reflections and images. At the same time, the unclear mirror is an incomplete and clear self-observation of the human audience. Jellyfish are often seen as soft, fluid creatures. They float in the water, light and unrestrained. The Styx jellyfish symbolizes the concept of flow and transformation. Linking the Mother River of Styx with the name of the painting implies the fluidity and changing state of life and expresses the impermanence and change in life. Life can drift with the water, or it can go the other way. The light and shade of the silver metal pen and acrylic paint symbolize the chaos and uncertainty of life. People's spiritual world can be bright as yellow and purple in the picture. It can also be highlighted at a specific time, like silver decoration that can be detected when reflecting light.

3. Art work Name: Delicate dream

My work mainly uses acrylic paint and UV glue. On the canvas, I painted a lot of flowers in fresh and bright colors and filled in the gaps with turquoise leaves. This "background" makes the picture more shiny and clear. I covered the canvas with white paint. This makes the portrait on the canvas as if it were growing in water. The idea was inspired by looking at the glass sculptures above. On the top of the canvas I used UV glue to create a lot of irregular curves and transparent patches. The jagged shape is meant to mimic curved glass. Different glasses reflect different colors in sunlight. At the same time, I used UV glue to paint a lot of water ripples on the canvas. I sprinkled a lot of beads with the same color as flowers on the canvas and arc to simulate the decoration of light. The viewing Angle of the statue is the eye level of the canvas. But you can tilt the canvas at an Angle to look down. This allows you to appreciate different elements from different angles. At the bottom of the sculpture I put a lot of petals that seem to float on the water. I also made butterflies in two parts of the sculpture. These butterflies are also transparent. Petals and butterflies symbolize light dreams. In the middle of the raised acrylic model, I also attached a lot of gems. I ended up using a hot glue gun to create silk threads to wrap around the sculpture. This reflects the lightness and illusion of the dream. This model is as transparent and fragile as the outdoor buildings I referenced. That's why I named this painting "Delicate Dream.”

4. Artwork Name: Space

Reference painter：Alai Ganuza I appreciated the collision of colors in her pictures and applied them to my own paintings to add visual impact and 3D feeling.

In my painting I painted the part of the heart in brilliant color. Below the heart are colorful mountains. Green and orange collide like the folds and shadows of mountains. Above the heart is the flowing water. Both of these elements have a certain 3D effect, and they represent the illusory aspects of the fantasy world. Dream mountains and rivers are the boundary between dreams and the outside world. On the heart, I added black and white flowers and leaves made of uv glue. The plants are like flat paintings that pop out of 3D objects. But they're actually 3D. Such elements symbolize both reality and fantasy in an illusory dream.

5. Artwork Name: Allow me to introduce you to this pure land

“Friend, can I have a moment of your time. I would like to introduce you to our quiet place, a pure land of seasons - when we are sleeping whisperers. When the existence of the gods is beyond doubt, the pure white souls of the Wisteria will return to life. This is the purest idea, and it belongs only to us. We hide the flimsiest yet most indestructible of life in the pond of our hearts - where all fantastical creatures float and never look for it in my eyes. I am a body carrying huge thoughts, walking in the crowd together to the distance. This land is like the deep sea with too many illusions and glass bottles. We need the pond to extend more of its own flesh and branches into the clear, undying water. It nourishes our souls to remain out there in the deep. ”

I used uv glue to create layers. We can see floating lotus leaves and manta rays swimming in this pond. There are also some highly saturated blue, purple, yellow and green petals/shades in the water. I applied some uv glue to the edge of the frame to give the 3D effect of water spilling out of the frame.

This is my final product. On the front of the painting was a wisteria tree with fuzzy white flowers. The tree is expected to bloom in the light blue winter. Its flowers, like a transparent soul, blend in with the white snow. On the back of the picture is a living pond.

Through contrast and symbolism, the painting deeply explores the passage of time and themes of eternity. The choice of this season emphasizes the passage of time and the vagaries of the world, with winter often symbolizing the withering and silencing of life. However, wisteria trees in full bloom this season seem to speak of the power and beauty of quiet life. The special depiction of flowers is also a symbol of time and eternal themes. They are portrayed as transparent and obscure, as if they were a being beyond the physical world. Blend in with the white snow. This transparent texture may suggest the fragility and transience of life, but at the same time conveys a timeless beauty that transcends the limits of time and space - this is the silent firmness of the human heart.

On the back of the photo is a lively pond, probably awaiting the arrival of spring. The continuation of life and the arrival of hope that the pond represents is in stark contrast to the prospect. Even if we have grand ideals on the outside, deep inside there is still "purity like winter snow and vitality like spring and summer ponds."

This alternation of life reflects the complexity and brilliance of inner feelings. The individual and the world are like ephemeral life and the environment that runs forever. Everything is circular - therefore man is eternal.

process: The elements of the painting are partly references to Ophelia in the Water. At the same time, in the color scheme of this painting, I refer to a water lily painting by Monet. Manta rays are painted in ponds to reflect the limitless creativity and individual ability to find beautiful things.

6. Artwork Name: Srange, Live Things

Compare Study artist 1: Henri Matisse He is a French visual artist known for his use of color and for his smooth and original drawing techniques. He was a draftsman, printmaker and sculptor. He was also the founder of Fauvism. I have observed that his paintings are good at contrasting the main body of the picture and the canvas to pure white. And the color collision of the elements in the painting is also very bold. His painting elements are like collages of colored paper, which inspires me.

Second artist: Piet Cornelies Mondrian He was one of the founders of non-figurative painting, an artist behind the Style movement, and had a great influence on future generations of architecture and design. His works are mostly composed of vertical and horizontal lines, rectangles and squares, opposed to curves, and completely abandoned the objective image of art and the content of life. His using of the collision of colors to reflect abstract ideas. The combination of black lines and red, blue and yellow color blocks has a modern art feel. This kind of visual conflict point is partly inspired by me - although my work is not square.

Project analysis: There's a Klein blue cougar, a dark green Wolf, and a red goldfish in this picture. The three animals were blocked by a potted longleaf plant.

Animals that have natural colors are given unnatural colors. This work uses the three-dimensional effect of potted plants and leaves, which plays a novel role in the vision. The collision of colors between the three animals and the white background also adds to their presence and impact on the feeling of being.

The animal colors in the painting symbolize camouflage and unreality. Cougars are usually tawny, wolves are usually gray or brown, and goldfish are usually red, but on the whole, these colors do not match their natural colors. This unreal representation satirizes the pretense and surface phenomena in society, revealing a world full of false appearances. In this world, the true self is masked and only images that conform to certain expectations or standards can be accepted or displayed.

Potted plants block these animals, suggesting some kind of shading and neglect. It symbolizes our neglect of nature and reality. People tend to pay more attention to the appearance of beauty and artificial landscape, but ignore the nature of nature and internal life. Potted plants are pruned and controlled, representing human control and domestication of the natural world, which also satirizes human self-belief that they can completely control and change nature, while ignoring the power and ircontrol of nature itself.

At the same time, the high saturation color modification suggests the neglect and misunderstanding of these life features. This satirizes the ignorance and arrogance of human beings in understanding and dealing with the natural world, trying to simplify and beautify the complex and diverse life to suit their own aesthetic and understanding.
