At Kabaz, we’d like to start at the end of the road: the result. By which we mean, the final result is always within our grasp. To show our clients, we demonstrate our work from the angles of architecture, construction, interior design, and styling. We present balance through contrast since we like to balance on the edge.

All the more, we let our clients feel. Because of the tension in the interiors, the projects, and the designs of Kabaz, all senses are stimulated. In a Kabaz design or a Kabaz house, one unmistakably registers the style and ambiance of Kabaz with all senses. It feels like home.

Bij Kabaz beginnen we graag bij het eind: het resultaat. Daarin tonen we balans door contrasten: bij onze ontwerpen balanceren we graag op het randje. Door die spanning in de ontwerpen, in de interieurs en in het design van Kabaz worden alle zintuigen geprikkeld. Waar we ook beginnen; het eindresultaat is het beste te visualiseren. We laten ons werk graag zien vanuit het oogpunt van de architectuur, de bouwkunde, de interieurarchitectuur en de styling. Maar het eindresultaat is ook te voelen: in een Kabaz-ontwerp, een Kabaz-huis, registreer je met al je zintuigen onmiskenbaar de stijl en sfeer van Kabaz. Het voelt als een thuis.

Where there is an end, there is also a beginning. At Kabaz, every collaboration starts with an intake in which we discuss the client’s housing needs. The beginning point is always a blank page, whether it is a 360° complete design or a 180° redesign.

Our designers, architects, and stylists won’t be quick to ask for a favorite color or desired materials. It’s all about our client’s values and standards. Where do they live and with whom? Where do they go for dinner and how are vacations celebrated? We empathize with the clients’ lifestyles while creating an appropriate living environment. Once the key ingredients have been gathered, they will be blended into a suitable and surprising design. A perfect total solution: the result.

Waar een einde is, is ook een begin. Bij Kabaz start elke samenwerking met een gesprek waarin vooral de woonwensen van de opdrachtgever aan de orde komen. Het begin is altijd een lege pagina, of het nou gaat om een 360° complete design of een 180° redesign. Onze ontwerpers, architecten en stylisten zullen niet snel vragen naar een favoriete kleur of de gewenste materialen. Het gaat erom wat een opdrachtgever belangrijk vindt. Hoe ze leven, en met wie. Waar ze uit eten gaan, waar en hoe vakantie wordt gevierd. Wij luisteren dus vooral naar de wensen van de opdrachtgevers. In deze gesprekken worden de belangrijkste ingrediënten verzameld, en die worden gebruikt om tot een verrassend ontwerp te komen. Een volmaakte totaaloplossing: het resultaat.

Kabaz is managed by three creative owners who complement each other like no other. Designer Bertram Beerbaum once rolled into the business by chance and started at Kabaz as a student. His passion is ingenuity, designing, and being involved in the entire creative process. Bertram is a visionary who likes to balance on the edge, a designer who never takes anything for granted, a perfectionist to whom nothing falls outside the realm of possibility. From day one, he was given the space to express this exceptional vision in a unique collaboration with André de Vos, architect and technical director of Kabaz. The man who can elevate architecture to the art of building. A few years later, creative director Sef van der Plas joined the duo. As an interior architect, he is always looking for the perfect balance between design and functionality. The three of them manage a passionate team of experienced specialists: architects, interior architects, structural engineers, project managers, architectural draftsmen, interior designers, and interior stylists.

Kabaz wordt aangestuurd door drie creatieve eigenaren die buitengewoon complementair aan elkaar zijn. Designer Bertram Beerbaum rolde ooit bij toeval in het vak en startte als student bij Kabaz. Hij haalt zijn passie uit ontwerpen en uit het gehele creatieve proces. Bertram is een visionair die graag op de rand balanceert, een designer die nooit iets zonder meer aanneemt, een perfectionist die wakker wordt als anderen denken dat het onmogelijk is. Vanaf dag één vindt en krijgt Bertram die ruimte dankzij de unieke samenwerking met André de Vos, architect en technisch directeur van Kabaz. Een man die in staat is om bouwkunde te verheffen tot bouwkunst. Enkele jaren later voegt creatief directeur Sef van der Plas zich bij het duo. Als interieurarchitect is hij altijd op zoek naar de perfecte balans tussen vormgeving en functionaliteit. Met z’n drieën sturen zij een gepassioneerd team van medewerkers aan. Ervaren specialisten, zoals architecten, interieurarchitecten, bouwkundigen, projectleiders, bouwkundig tekenaars, interieurontwerpers en interieurstylisten.

‘UNDERSTATED LUXURY’

Understated luxury is about a tension between form and material, for example by covering a sturdy table with fine leather. Or by furnishing a classic house with modern furniture. A certain tension: one feeling! This style extends beyond interior design, also including architectural design. Old elements are preserved while making room for modern, high-end details. A careful choice of materials and shapes ensures understated luxury to be warm and personal. Something we like to realize at Kabaz.

Understated luxury gaat over een spanning tussen vorm en materiaal bijvoorbeeld door een stoere tafel met heel fijn leer te bekleden. Of door een klassiek huis met moderne meubels in te richten. een bepaalde spanning: één gevoel! En balans door uitersten, niet door meer van hetzelfde. Een stijl die zich niet alleen doorvertaald in interieur design, maar in het volledige architecturale ontwerp. Oude elementen blijven bewaard, terwijl er plaats wordt gemaakt voor nieuwe, highend details. Een zorgvuldige keuze in materialen en vormen maken ingetogen luxe warm en persoonlijk. Iets dat wij bij Kabaz graag realiseren.
