Covid 19 Edition Autumn 2020 on the Peninsula was planned to be a season of events and community activities that celebrated the end of a horrible summer of fires and drought and welcomed the cooler weather and rain. At the beginning of March, the Berringa Community News Autumn edition advertised the upcoming events and recognised the beginning of a new school year. By the middle of March, the annual community events - the Annual Community Fundraiser, the Bethanga Gymkhana and Family Fun Day and Bethanga ANZAC Day Ceremony were cancelled. The

local schools closed and the children worked from home. Playgrounds, sporting clubs, the pubs and the shops also closed. For many farmers and the retired, life went on very much the same, but others sadly lost their jobs. A whole virtual world has opened - work, contact with friends and family and meetings are done online. The Berringa Community News editors were concerned that we would have enough to fill a newsletter but life on the Peninsula has continued, differently maybe, and we are publishing our regular newsletter.
