It has started and we are delighted!!!!! Riverina Highway upgrade between Lake Hume Resort and Bethanga Bridge Peninsula residents are delighted to see the progress of the Riverina Highway upgrade between Lake Hume Resort and Bethanga Bridge. This road, which many of us call The Pines Road, has been the subject of much discontent for many years, so the $6.5 million Stage Two upgrade to improve road safety and provide consistent travelling conditions from Lake Hume Resort to Bethanga Bridge is welcomed. It is expected the Lake Hume Resort to the Bethanga Bridge road will be finished late June 2018, weather permitting. Stage One of the project along the Riverina Highway between Sandy Creek and Lake Hume Resort was finished in March last year.
