She is a replica of the legendary ATLANTIC which was commissioned in 1903. Her victorious 1905 Transatlantic Race ensured that she went down in yachting history.
After owning, restoring, rebuilding or recreating a number of famous yachts such as Thendara, Aile Blanche, Borkumriff, Zaca a te Moana and most recently Eleonora, her owner planned his ultimate masterpiece; with her overall length of 64.5 metres she is the largest classic racing schooner ever to be recreated. Above all else, she, like her inspiration, remains breathtakingly beautiful, turning heads wherever the wind takes her. Her dimensions are simply incredible; overall, she measures a remarkable 64.5 m. Her graceful sheer line and long overhangs accentuate her grace while her waterline length of 42 m and narrow beam are a promise of unmatched speed under sail.

Explorer yachts are capturing the imagination of a growing number of yacht owners and charter clients who are looking to go beyond traditional cruising grounds. These purpose-built vessels represent a new era of yachting, prioritising advanced engineering to allow autonomy and resilience for yacht owners and sailors.
These yachts are, above all, built for endurance and safety allowing cruising in the world’s most remote regions. Their steel or aluminium hulls offer durability in rough seas and even icy waters, while full-displacement designs ensure stability and comfort. With long-range fuel tanks, redundant systems, and ample storage for provisions and gear, they’re designed to operate independently for extended periods - making them ideal for off-the-grid cruising without sacrificing luxury. This growing trend is fuelled by a desire to escape the
crowded Mediterranean and Caribbean hotspots, and instead reconnect with nature, discover uncharted territories, and experience a sense of isolation and serenity rarely found elsewhere. Explorer yachts provide the perfect platform for this type of travel – offering adventure without compromising on safety, luxury, or comfort.
Today’s explorer yachts are not only built for endurance, they also feature the latest in onboard technology, expansive living spaces, helipads, dive centres, and
fully equipped beach clubs – allowing owners and guests to enjoy complete freedom with all the luxuries of a superyacht lifestyle.
Several world-class shipyards have specialised in this niche segment, contributing to its rapid evolution and popularity. Among the most respected are Damen Yachting, known for their SeaXplorer series, Cantiere delle Marche, Sanlorenzo, Turquoise Yachts and Silver Yachts each bringing their own approach to combining capability with style.
BOLD is an 85.3-meter explorer yacht built in 2019 by SilverYachts, designed by renowned architect Espen Oeino.
