As BGYB approaches the autumn and winter seasons, it only feels right to reflect on the success of this year. Our fleet, team, and events attendance only continue to grow and flourish, and it is with great excitement that we look ahead to what is yet to come until 2026.
Our Sales Team continues to go from strength to strength, with several new listings and sales to report from the past few months. A particularly notable sale was the GP70 CATCH ME, a 2024 nominee for multihull of the year. Others include the 104ft Alloy Yachts IRELANDA, the Scorpio 75 sailing yacht BLACK HAWK, and the newly built ALEGRIA 67 catamaran under construction.
Our fleet also continues to expand, with new additions to our sailing, motor and multihull yachts. Amongst the motor yachts is the iconic Burger 60 Gentleman Yacht SALLY, while the sailing fleet welcomed the 114ft Farr Design Carbon Ketch SOJANA, the Swan 77 TUGELA I and the Bordeaux 60 KAIROS. Multihull listings include the Sunreef 80 Eco APOLLO 99, the Privilege 745 CATTITUDE, the Alegria 67 SEMPER FIDELIS, and the Outremer 55 SAGA. A special mention must go to the exceptional IRC One-Off 54 TEASING MACHINE, a custom-built multi-award-winning racing yacht.
Over the past few months, the charter department has seen outstanding results. The 2025 summer season has already delivered our strongest performance to date… and the year isn’t over yet. We’ve secured a record number of bookings again this year and have already begun signing contracts for both the upcoming Caribbean season and summer 2026.
Recent charter highlights include selling the 104ft Alloy IRELANDA, which then became ABUNDANCE and remains part of our central agency. She is currently preparing for a world tour, similar to the four-year one which the 65m Classic Schooner Replica ATLANTIC will embark on next year. We are also thrilled to welcome the 80ft Sunreef Power TESNI to our fleet, a beautiful eco-catamaran, and the brand-new 2026 Lagoon Sixty 5 Catamaran LADY ROSE. The charter fleet is always growing and we cannot wait to see what the rest of 2025 brings!
BGYB has had a very exciting six months in terms of marketing and development. This started with a successful reworking of our website to ensure the best possible user experience. Further success was found at the Palma Superyacht Show in April, where BGYB was proud to exhibit 8 of their own yachts!
Our team also continues to thrive and expand. June saw the arrival of a new Sales Assistant, Anastasia Vassal, a new Charter Assistant, Amy Kenyon, helping to manage marketing and listings for our fleet. Other recent additions include a new Assistant of the Charter Broker Managers, Lola Garnier, in the Palma Office, and a new English Broker Henry Hughes, both of whom are playing key roles in boosting BGYB’s international presence.
Looking ahead, we are excited to attend a number of upcoming yacht shows. First will be Cannes Yachting Festival and Monaco Yacht Show, where BGYB is thrilled to display the 100ft Maxi Dolphin NOMAD IV for sale. This is shortly followed by the renowned Voiles de Saint Tropez, and finally by the Antigua Charter Show in December, where ATLANTIC, ABUNDANCE and MANE et NOCTE will be presented.
The 105ft Alloy Yachts IRELANDA has been sold!
ABUNDANCE (ex-IRELANDA), built by the New Zealand shipyard Alloy Yachts, was the winner of the “Showboats Award” in the category of sailing yachts under 36m the year she was launched. She is the perfect yacht for performance sailing as well as for comfortable cruising. ABUNDANCE features naval architecture along with exterior and interior design by the Dutch studio Hoek Design, offering a spacious interior and a large cockpit that make her an ideal sailing yacht for long voyages. ABUNDANCE was refitted in 2021 and more recently in 2025.

These yachts are, above all, built for endurance and safety allowing cruising in the world’s most remote regions. Their steel or aluminium hulls offer durability in rough seas and even icy waters, while full-displacement designs ensure stability and comfort. With long-range fuel tanks, redundant systems, and ample storage for provisions and gear, they’re designed to operate independently for extended periods - making them ideal for off-the-grid cruising without sacrificing luxury. This growing trend is fuelled by a desire to escape the crowded Mediterranean and Caribbean hotspots, and
expansive living spaces, helipads, dive centres, and fully equipped beach clubs – allowing owners and guests to enjoy complete freedom with all the luxuries of a superyacht lifestyle.
Several world-class shipyards have specialised in this niche segment, contributing to its rapid evolution and popularity. Among the most respected are Damen Yachting, known for their SeaXplorer series, Cantiere delle Marche, Sanlorenzo, Turquoise Yachts and Silver Yachts each bringing their own approach to combining capability with style.
BOLD is an 85.3-meter explorer yacht built in 2019 by SilverYachts, designed by renowned architect Espen Oeino.
Crafted from recyclable aluminum, her design reflects a commitment to eco-conscious yachting. Her layout emphasizes speed and efficiency at sea, while her interior features eight guest cabins, including a luxurious owner’s suite. BOLD’s signature winter garden, loft-style upper deck, and open-air cinema offer exceptional onboard experiences.

Date: 12 - 15 March 2026 - Location: St Barth, Caribbean
First organised in Nantucket, Massachusetts in August 1986, the Bucket was originally a birthday celebration where only seven sailing superyachts raced around a 15-mile course on Nantucket Sound. Although the prize from this first year was simply the undisputed sailing bragging rights for the year, participants enjoyed the camaraderie and atmosphere of the event, leading it to become official. Between 1986 and 2001, the Nantucket Bucket flourished, reuniting yacht owners, crews and guests each year. Hosted in Newport, Rhode Island for over a decade, the event moved in St Barths in 1995. The St Barths Bucket attracts an increasing competing fleet each year but the spirit of the race remains the same!
