The Yacht Market Overview As BGYB approaches the autumn and winter seasons, it only feels right to reflect on the successes and developments of 2026. Our fleet, international presence, and services continue to grow and evolve, and it is with great enthusiasm that we look ahead to what is yet to come as we move towards 2027.
Sales On the sales side, 2026 has also seen several significant transactions and milestones for BGYB, reflecting the brokerage’s ability to adapt to a changing market while continuing to deliver strong results across different segments of the fleet. Among these milestones, the company completed its first yacht sale involving a cryptocurrency transaction, working alongside our partner Bitcashier—an important step in adapting our services to the evolving expectations of an increasingly international client base, many of whom are looking for more flexible and modern ways to finalize a purchase. This milestone illustrates how BGYB continues to evolve alongside its clients, embracing new tools without losing sight of the trust and personal attention that define every transaction. BGYB also successfully concluded the sale of the Swan 108 FANCY, now renamed PS5 PLAYSTATION and currently available for charter, giving the yacht a continued presence within BGYB’s world even after changing hands. Alongside this, the brokerage also completed the sale of the McConaghy 75 JACK. Together, these transactions further demonstrate the diversity of BGYB’s sales activity, spanning both high-performance sailing yachts built for speed and larger cruising yachts designed for comfort, underscoring the breadth of expertise the team brings to every corner of the market and the range of clients it is able to serve. Also to be noted are the additions of the following sailing yachts: 121ft Holland Jachtbouw SWAGGER, 2
121ft Maxi Catamaran VITALIA II, CNB 117 CAPRICORNO, CNB 78 AMURI, and CNB 76 RIZZ. As well as the following motor yachts: WallyPower 50 AXELLE 3, WallyPower 43 GRIVALIA V, and Goldfish 49 Open AXELLE.
Charter While 2026 remains one of the strongest charter years in BGYB’s history, activity has been slightly more subdued over the past few months. Against a backdrop of widespread heatwaves, clients have continued to spend their summers on the water, with charters taking place across Europe, including more northerly destinations such as Norway. BGYB has welcomed the 29m CNB sailing yacht LADY 8 to its Central Agency charter fleet, with the yacht spending the summer cruising Norway. The Sunreef 80 catamaran MANA KAI, Swan 82 FD STELLA OF RORC and 30.6m Wally sailing yacht VANTANERA have also joined our growing charter fleet under Central Agency. The 32m Alloy Yachts sailing yacht ABUNDANCE will remain in Fiji through October, while the 65m classic schooner replica ATLANTIC continues her long-range cruising programme through Costa Rica and French Polynesia. MANA KAI and LADY 8 are also embarking on extensive cruising programmes, reflecting the increasingly international scope of BGYB’s charter fleet. Our fleet continues to grow, and we look forward to seeing what the rest of 2026 will bring. Finally, the Charter Department continues to strengthen the client experience through more comprehensive, personalised support and tailored charter planning
for our direct clients, a growing number of whom are choosing to place their trust in BGYB.
Marketing and Development: BGYB continues to invest in the development of its services, with a strong focus on making the client experience more streamlined, personalised and efficient. Over the past six months, several initiatives have been introduced across the company to strengthen both our international reach and our internal processes. The arrival of George Kontovassilis in Greece, Xavier Bouin in the UAE and Romain Bonnaud in the USA has further strengthened BGYB’s international presence, allowing us to support clients more closely across key yachting markets around the world. Within the Marketing Department, the rollout of our new CRM, together with the integration of AI-powered tools, is helping us better understand client needs, improve follow-up and deliver more targeted and personalised communications. The Sales Team has also introduced a new clientreporting format designed to keep owners regularly informed about BGYB’s activities and the progress of their yacht throughout the sales process. More broadly, BGYB continues to introduce new ideas, methods and tools aimed at improving both the client experience and the company’s day-to-day operations. These developments form part of our ongoing commitment to improving the way we work and the level of service we provide.

This event is organized by the Société Nautique de Saint-Tropez, approved by the Fédération Française de Voile, under the auspices of the city of Saint-Tropez and the patronage of the Yacht Club de France. Over ten days, the event welcomes the world’s most beautiful Maxi, Modern, and Classic yachts, gathering in Saint-Tropez for a unique spectacle of racing and elegance. During this period, the harbor transforms to host these majestic vessels, offering a rare opportunity to admire some of the finest yachts from across the globe.
The Royal Malta Yacht Club and the Royal Ocean Racing Club cofounded the race in 1968. The race is a true challenge to skippers and crews, even at their very best, due to the changeable and demanding conditions. Starting from Grand Harbour, yachts will sail a course leaving to port the Island of Sicily, the Aeolian Islands (including Strombolicchio), the Egadi Islands (except Marettimo Island), Pantelleria and Lampedusa Islands, through the South Comino Channel, keeping Malta to starboard, to the finish line in Marsamxett Harbour. The length of the course is approximately 606 nautical miles.

The RORC Caribbean 600 returns to Antigua on 22 February 2027 for its 18th edition. Organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club, this non-stop 600-nautical-mile offshore race starts and finishes off Fort Charlotte and takes competitors around 11 Caribbean islands. More than 500 sailors from around the world traditionally converge on Antigua for a demanding course shaped by trade winds, changing conditions and tactical island passages. The 2027 event welcomes IRC entries and multihulls racing under MOCRA, alongside IRC Two-Handed, Classics, Superyachts and Class40s. Entries are now open, making this the ideal time to secure a racing yacht charter.
The St Barths Bucket Regatta returns to Saint Barthélemy from 17–21 March 2027 for another edition of one of the world’s most celebrated sailing superyacht events. First organised in Nantucket in 1986, the Bucket has retained its distinctive philosophy: competitive racing combined with sportsmanship, camaraderie and a shared passion for sailing. For 2027, the regatta introduces a four-race series, with racing scheduled from Thursday through Sunday. Set against the turquoise waters and dramatic coastline of St Barths, the event brings together some of the world’s most impressive sailing yachts for several days of competition and an equally renowned programme ashore.

Day 1 I Grand-case - Saint Martin Your charter begins with embarkation at Simpson Bay, on the island of Saint Martin. Embark around midday, greet your crew and enjoy a fantastic first lunch on board as you sail for 2 hours to Grand-case. Spend the afternoon swimming and enjoying water toys on its fine sand beaches, before celebrating your first night of charter at one of the fantastic restaurants nearby, renowned for their French cuisine.
Day 2 I Anguilla Island Set off early to sail to Prickly Pear Cays, a pair of small uninhabited islands. Make the most of this famed snorkeling spot, known for its coral reefs and turquoise waters. Enjoy lunch on board as you sail to Anguilla and anchor at Sandy Ground where you will stay for the night. Lounge around on its beautiful beaches, and don’t forget to make a stop at the well-known Elvis’ Beach Bar for a Pina Colada.
Day 4 I Anse de Colombier - Saint Barts Spend the day relaxing at the Anse de Colombier – this beach is the most protected on the island, and so a haven of natural beauty. Go snorkeling, sunbathe on the beautiful sands, and enjoy the water toys from your yacht, before returning to Gustavia where you will anchor overnight. Return to one of its restaurants, or enjoy a fantastic meal prepared by your chef on board.
Day 5 I Saba Island Have a relaxing morning and breakfast as you sail 3 hours downwind to the island of Saba. Untouched by the modern world, this island is a natural paradise, and the perfect escape from daily life. Your crew can organize a guided hike through its tropical rainforests, where you can discover the treasures of this island filled with exotic birds and wild vegetation. After your expedition into nature, return on board to relax with a delicious meal.
Day 6 I Marigot Bay - Saint Martin Enjoy another relaxing morning on board as you undergo the 3 hour sail back to St Martin, where you will anchor at Marigot Bay. The largest town in the French part of the island, Marigot is filled with culture, such as the 18th century Fort Louis, and the open air creole market selling a variety of fresh produce and artisanal crafts. Browse the local boutiques, and go to the beach for some great spots for windsurfing and water toys.
Day 3 I Gustavia - Saint Barts Sail north to Saint Barts, enjoying views of the uninhabited Tintamarre Island on the way. Anchor at Gustavia, the capital, and explore its famed port filled with some of the most beautiful yachts in the world. Spend the afternoon wandering around and doing some shopping before going for dinner at one of the many great restaurants near the port. In the evening, go to one of Gustavia’s VIP clubs for a night you won’t forget.

Day 7 I Simpson Bay - Saint Martin Make the most of your final breakfast on board surrounded by beautiful views as you sail for an hour back to Simpson Bay on St Martin for disembarkation. Day 2 I Green Island, Antigua After breakfast on board, your crew can arrange kitesurf lessons for you at Nonsuch Bay Resort, so that you can truly enjoy the warm, turquoise waters. Day 4 I Deep Bay, Antigua Breakfast on board whilst sailing to Deep Bay, Antigua. Arrive around lunchtime and go snorkeling around the wreck of the Andes, a mysterious shipwreck waiting to be explored. Have lunch on board whilst you relocate to a beautiful anchorage near Five Islands, where you can go swimming from the yacht, or relax on the beach. Spend the evening at an anchorage in Goat Head Channel, and enjoy dinner on board whilst taking in the views.
Day 5 I Hermitage Bay Beach, Antigua Breakfast on board whilst sailing to Hermitage Bay Beach, where you can relax as your crew prepares a delicious picnic lunch. In the afternoon anchor at Jolly Harbour, and make the most of the selection of beautiful beaches nearby – The beaches Coco, Ffryes and Darkwood will each guarantee you a relaxing afternoon in the sun, surrounded by beautiful scenery.
Day 6 I Carlisle Bay, Antigua Spend the morning at the stunning Carlisle Bay, which is surrounded by lush rainforest. Make the most of the luxury resort located there by visiting the spa. In the afternoon, relocate to Rendez-Vous Bay to have fun and do some watersports. In the evening, anchor at the Antigua Yacht Club Marina, where you will have an array of fantastic restaurants to choose from for dinner – we particularly recommend Cloggy’s Restaurant, or Katherine’s Café.
Day 3 I Low Bay, Barbuda Set off for Barbuda, and enjoy breakfast on board during the 5 hour sail. Arrive at Low Bay around lunchtime, and spend the afternoon exploring the 11 miles of unspoilt beaches, notable for their enchanting pink sands. For the more adventurous, go snorkeling on Tuson Rock, or for some culture, we can arrange for a local guide to give you a tour of Frigate Rookery, the biggest bird sanctuary in the world, or the beautiful village of Codrington.
Day 7 I English Harbour, Antigua On your final day of charter, have breakfast on board as you sail to English Harbour Marina for disembarkation where you will say your goodbyes to the crew. Do some final shopping, and then explore Nelson’s Dockyard and discover its rich history, before enjoying lunch at The Inn or the Gunpowder House & Suites. Day 1 I Papeete and Cook Bay Upon arrival at Papeete airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your crew and transferred to the marina to board your yacht. After settling in, enjoy a cocktail on deck as preparations are made for departure. A short sail brings you to the breathtaking Cook Bay in Moorea, where lush mountains meet calm, sheltered waters for a peaceful first night.
Day 4 I Motu Vaiorea Following a short morning crossing, the yacht enters the lagoon in calm, protected waters. Divers may stop at Avapehi Pass for a rewarding underwater experience before continuing south towards Motu Vaiorea. This tranquil setting is perfect for enjoying the lagoon at its finest, with opportunities for snorkelling in the “Nursery,” swimming, and a variety of water activities.
Day 5 I ahaa and the Vanilla Valley Departing the lagoon, sail towards the island of Tahaa, often referred to as the “Vanilla Island.” Dive enthusiasts can explore the Toahotu Pass, known for its rich marine life. Day 2 I Moorea Spend the day discovering the island of Moorea, renowned for its dramatic volcanic peaks and vibrant lagoon, before venturing inland to climb Magic Mountain or reach the Belvedere viewpoint for panoramic views over Opunohu and Cook Bays. Day 6 I Tahaa’s Coral Garden Wake up to a leisurely cruise within Tahaa’s lagoon as the yacht glides along its coastline. On the western side, stop at the famous coral garden, a unique natural channel between two reef islets. Drift gently with the current above vibrant coral formations and abundant marine life, offering one of the most memorable snorkelling experiences in French Polynesia.
Day 3 I Raiatea and Huhaine An early departure sets the course for Raiatea, a longer passage across open ocean. During the crossing, keep watch for marine life, including whales during the breeding season. After approximately 90 nautical miles, enter the eastern pass and anchor in a serene bay offering beautiful views over Huahine and the surrounding lagoon.
