Loc: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia The site is located in Addis Ababa where i was asked to build a self sufficient residenal units for the populaon of Addis. The disposion of the housing follow a cubical grid where each family will dispose of four cubes in case of extenon or the creaon of outdoor garden. Certain voids were created in the stucture in order to allow easy access to all the units and the penetraon of the air flow inside the main cores of the structure. Each roof has a guer where the water will be collected from one roof to the other in oerder to reach an unerground tank that will serve for irrigaon and personal purposes. The extension of the houses can be formed vercally and horizontally in order for this building to change with me according to the different needs of the populaon.

Loc: Cartagena, Colombia The project had to deal with the low income populaon of cartagena. The design was created by analysing the pathways that these people are used to taking everyday in order to create a similar connecon in between the units. The housing units can be altered according the the family need and can be easily extended due to a simple mechanism. In the design i took into consideraon the airflow and the sun direcon in order to preserve natural air venlaon inside the units. On the other hand, at praccal level, the project took the inspiraon from natural islands which have proved to be resilient with me (especially confronng water). The houses designed on the archipellagoes provide sources of food, independency from carbon fuel and collecve pracces to minimize unneccessary exploitaon of natural resources.

Loc: Lyon, France The project iniated with the understanding that the city must be seen as an evolving bio-organism which develops through restructuring of exisng infrastructures and other driving components. We concluded (through case studies) that the absence of strategic restructuring leads to the death of a vibrant city. Therefore, we sorted important driving factors (agencies) of cies and tried to link them with the grass root level enes. The site held green open spaces linked to the river in order to reconnect the two segregated parts enriched with different acvies such as botenic garden, sports facilies and a cultural centre. The process involved also study of stakeholders in Lyon. Data (in terms of surveys) was collected from the area through interviews.

Loc: Borj Hammpoud, Beirut Aer generally analyzing the main urban elements of Borj Hammoud, several edges were found in the city translated into this abstract collage. First of all, the lower part of Borj Hammoud showed the pathway paern, and the manner in which all the buildings are following a certain monotonous seng. The houses and roads are all linked together through stairways and narrow pathways. However, the upper part of the city is separated by the naonal coastal highway, also known as the industrial zone, reflecng the disconnecon between the two main parts of the city. The second major physical edge is the river of Beirut that is canalized by vast walls blocking the physical and the visual connecon between Borj Hammoud and Beirut.

COLLAGES ANALYSIS These urban pathways highlighted in red are linked to the site, and have the potenal to be reconnecng elements to the river, and a connuaon of the urban fabric in several districts alongside the river of Beirut. In 1945 the river of Beirut was part of Borj Hammoud’s everyday life which showed the strong connecon between this district and the cies surrounding it. Axonometric view

STRATEGY
These modules are a collecon of events all connected through a sequence of spaces and moments represented in a collage figuring different representaon of interior spaces that will be translated later on into the architectural project. These modules will be set in a certain rhythm following the program and the funcon of each space

Loc: Ramlet Al Bayda, Mousaytbe The site is located in Ramlet El Bayda in close proximity to a Palesnian refugee camp. The purpose behind this project was to break the introverted space that the community has createdas a result of social tension with the naves. This is done byexposing the community to the public by highlighng their crasmanship and culinary skills at ground level where there is an open market. The upper floors are social residenal housing units in order to accommodate the overpopulated community that lacks adequate living spaces.

Strategy Different images were taken during the promenade architectural in Mar Elias refugee camp. These modules were set in a strategical sequence of events by creang a linked collage transformed into several experimental spaces translated later on into secons reflecng different interior spaces of the project.

Loc: El Abiad Camp, Mar Mikhael This project is located in a dense area that lacks open spaces and public funcons. The purpose of the program was to revive this residenal area through a Hammam ( thermal bath). This funcon would provide the residents with an acve public space other than their usual communicang hub- the streets and sidewalks. Different moments were captured during the promenade architectural in Mar Mikhael. Each picture was transformed into an abstract configuraon by highlighng the main geometrical shapes in each space

The goal was to construct a project that does not obstruct the physical and visual connecon, rather than following the urban grid along with its main pathways and circulaon. Hence, reinforcing the link by creang four main structures that are linked through branching bridges connecng all of the different funcons together, reflecng the feel of the exisng bridge.

HOTEL
HOTEL
SPA
The general shape of the design is inspired by the landscape surrounding the site of the exisng building. In fact, the middle part connects all the levels to the lobby by creang differennteracons between the funcons of the hotel. The second floor follows the rotaons of the line in the landscape, allowing all separate floors to be connected in a way. The design of the hotel allows visitors to explore and interact with the core of the building. All the different suites that accommodate outdoor balconies open up to the panoramic view of the sea.
SPA The main characterisc of this spa is that it is extroverted, yet with an introverted structure, perming a more private environment. People in the hotel have their own private entrance linking the enre project by ramps travelling through the façade in order for people to explore the project in a more realisc manner which, in other words, is a “promenade architectural”. As for the public space, the entrance is located on the ground level. Visitors of the spa will be accommodated with saunas, massage rooms, a gym, and even outdoor and indoor Olympic pools.
