A NEW CAMPUS Berlin Packaging doubles up to fully show how well its two souls coexist: TRADITION and INNOVATION Keywords for the containers that Berlin Packaging, as a world leader, has been producing for decades to preserve the richness with which the earth nourishes us and makes it more beautiful. This same principle has now also become the mantra for the new architectural reorganization of the Milan headquarters.

A new refined and hyper-technological container, a targeted restyling in the name of the eco-sustainability of the glorious original site.

A complex of buildings, transit and unloading areas, of greenery and glass, of technology that meets “know-how” to show us contemporary despite the richness of a precious history.

With over 100 years of experience in the packaging industry, over 2200 professionals and an international network of suppliers and warehouses, we wanted to create a pole of excellence, where research is combined with the well-being of those who work to always go beyond the imaginable.

General Rules

Entrance & Opening Hours You can access the campus buildings through the new gates on the Via Gioia with your badge or on Via Galvani.

The reception is active from 07:00 to 21:00, everybody from early birds to night-owls need to adapt to the opening hours since otherwise, the alarm system kicks in.

The ‘TRADITION’ building is accessible with the badge only from the via Colombo, visitors need to be picked up at the door.

Access & Parking We are working to create a new parking lot next to the ‘INNOVATION’ building (in front of Autotorino), where in the future also charging stations for electrical cars and motorcycles will be positioned. Further, we are creating more car parking lots in via Galvani.

Bike parking will be installed on the premises of the ‘INNOVATION’ building and ‘TRADITION’ building Next year, a bike lane will be created in via Galvani to grant a safe connection in-between the two buildings.

Please use the sidewalk in via Galvani if you’d like to visit the other building. We are working to make the road safer by making it a oneway street, adding a larger sidewalk, a bike lane, and more trees.

Further new gates are installed along via Galvani to enter the premises on both sides. (to open with badge)

Personal Deliveries For all your personal orders and deliveries (Amazon, Zalando, etc.) please do not use the office address!

We are installing an Amazon Locker (which will be positioned in via Galvani) for your convenience.

No personal deliveries at the Campus are permitted.

IT Support A person from the HelpDesk team will always be present in the ‘INNOVATION’ building to support the office technology: Meeting Rooms, video, and audio devices in the building.

For problems related to software or hardware malfunctions (PCs, Phones, Personal monitors, Printers, etc.), the available support channels are:

Work Areas

Desks & Storages 1

You have your personal storage with assigned numbers close to your team area. You get one key, please keep it safe!

(If you lose it please contact the general service team)

There is plenty of space in the dedicated wardrobe furniture, equipped with cloth hangers. But you can also put your jacket in your personal storage.

You have an assigned desk. Please make sure that at the end of the day your desk is clean and empty. (Please, use your personal storage). Every desk is equipped with a drawer for small items.

Please remember: no pinning, no photos, no pens, no work-related items – clean desk only.

3 For work-related items, please use the storage units assigned to your team (in your assigned area) and share the space with your colleagues.

Some workbenches are equipped with a half-circle table in order to hold informal meetings in the work area.

Some workbenches are divided by an informal meeting table (half-circle) on one side by a shelf. This furniture is intended to be used for exposition items only – no work-related items are to be put.

For sustainability reasons, no personal waste paper baskets are available under the desks.

Please dispose your waste in the dedicated areas. (Coffee Area and Print Hub)

Hot Desks This area presents free (not assigned) workstations which are smaller than the regular workstations but equipped in the same way.

Please use these desks with respect for the need of others and always keep them clean and free of any personal belongings.

Once you leave the desk (also if only for a meeting or call) the place will be considered available to others.

Every hot desk is positioned close to personal storage for your belongings, so that the desk can stay free of any personal belonging during your stay.

Informal Meeting Areas

General Rules Several informal meeting areas are to be found in the office spaces. These areas are not bookable and are intended to be used for meetings that do not require privacy or for single work away from your desk.

Please use these areas freely and remember to leave them clean and ordered after use.

WIFI is available in all areas of the office, electrical plugs are distributed and are accessible in the floor boxes.

Areas 1 Circular meeting areas are positioned and protected by showroom shelving, designed for group meetings of up to 8 people.

2 The bench under the tree is equipped with small tables and poufs for single work or small parties of up to 3 people. You can find the electrical plugs under the benches.

3 In bar area, various meeting furniture is provided not only to drink your morning coffee but also to hold informal meetings even with clients.

Meeting Rooms

General Rules Most of the meeting rooms are bookable and are intended to be used for meetings that require privacy.

Please use these rooms for scheduled meetings only and remember to leave them clean and ordered after use.

All rooms have internal curtains that are operated manually to create more privacy and have one writable wall.

Use Of The Meeting Rooms The meeting rooms can be used via any videoconference tool (Teams, Ringcentral, Google Meet, Zoom, WebeX etc.) installed on your PC by connecting it to the connection cable with one of the USB C or USB A ports.

Areas Big Meeting Rooms Are re-equipped with coffee machines and a fridge for beverages to cater for the meetings, designed for group meetings with up to 8 people.

Rooms are equipped with a tv screen and video conference.

The reservation of meeting rooms is done via Outlook as usual.

Outside of the meeting room, there is a monitor (Tap Scheduler) synchronised with the scheduled appointments in that meeting room.

Each meeting will be displayed with the title of the meeting.

The Tap Scheduler allows you to remotely view whether the room is free (green colour) or reserved (red colour).

Through the Tap Scheduler, it is also possible to reserve the meeting room, in case it is free, for an immediate meeting.

On occasion, the Inspiration Room can be reconfigured into a Conference Room.

This is the biggest meeting room on the campus and is designed to hold different functions.

On a daily bases, this room is dedicated to be the inspiration and color room but on occasion, this room can be reconfigured to hold meetings of up to 35 people.

For extra privacy, this room is equipped with a bipolar glass that on a push of a button turns from transparent to solid.

This room is not bookable. However, you can contact with Ceo Executive Assistant for special events.

Concentrated Work

Areas Working in an open space can be challenging for certain tasks. This is why focus rooms and phone booths are positioned all over the office.

Focus Rooms

These rooms are bookable via Outlook and are intended for concentrated work and can be used by up to 2 people.

Please remember to leave the room clean and ordered after use.

Phone Booth

These rooms are not bookable and free to walk in (if not in use) whenever you need to have a quiet and concentrated call.

Please check that room is not in use before walking in and remember to leave the room clean and ordered after use.

Phone Chairs

Red phone chairs are available to serve you as a retreat for phone calls.

Please use them as fit, especially if the phone booths are occupied.

WIFI is available in all areas of the office, electrical plugs are distributed and are accessible in the floor boxes.

Support Areas

Coffee Area

Here it is possible to have a coffee with your colleagues and clients. Disposable cups are available and you can fill your personal water bottle where you can find hot, natural and sparkling water.

Please keep this area clean and ordered.

Print Rooms

Printers and stationery items are to be retrieved here. You can also dispose of your paper waste in this room.

All printers are equipped with the SafeQ system that allows authentic printing via pin code and the possibility of recovering documents on any device, possibly even switching from one building to another.

Bathrooms

The rooms are clearly marked and divided for women and men.

Please keep the bathrooms clean and neat.

Wardrobes

You can freely use them to hang your coat or leave your luggage.

Please do not leave any personal belongings over night, wardrobes will be checked every evening before the closing hour, and eventual items removed. (In case please contact the general services team)

Waste Strategy In order to live a sustainable office, the waste strategy follows some strict rules.

There are no waste baskets in the workspace but only in the coffee areas and the print hubs (for paper only)

Coffee Area The coffee areas hold all necessary bins for your waste: plastic, paper, organic, and general waste.

Print Rooms The print rooms present waste bins for paper, plastic and general waste.

Please keep this area clean and ordered.

Bathrooms All bathrooms are equipped with waste bins.

One is close to the washbasin and one in each toilette.

No hot food is allowed in the offices, for your lunch break please visit the social area in the offices in the ‘TRADITION’ building, which will be ready to host you soon.

There you will find fridges and microwaves but also fresh food to buy.

Showroom

The showroom is the heart of this new office space. It is the place where your work is shown in the best possible way.

Take your time and have a close look to get a feel of the vast product lines you are supporting.

Please do not change or move any product in exposition.

Main Showroom This is the place where all collections find their dedicated space, a sustainability area, and the BGDA is part of the exposition.

Studio 111 Showroom Here you find innovation and design at its best, a variety of products exposed to show the creativity of Studio 111.

New Acquisition In this area, the new companies acquired by the Berlin group will be exposed to their best products.

Iconic Products The exposition in the reception area is dedicated to the iconic products of your company.

Garden Area

New garden areas were created for you to enjoy.

The garden of the ‘INNOVATION’ Building is a “dry garden” meaning that all the plants live without any irrigation system - in order to meet the sustainability standards of this building.

No smoking is allowed in the garden of this building, to smoke please leave the premises or use the new courtyard garden to be installed at the ‘Tradition’ Building offices.

The outdoor areas present different areas for you to meet, work or take a break.

The Park

We are working with the municipality to re-design the park in front of the HQ’s in via Gioia.

This park will hold new recreation areas, a sports field, and a playground.

The park will be yours to use for breaks, walks and sports.
