A Message from Our CEO At Berlin Packaging, we believe sustainability and business growth are inseparable — and that belief increasingly shows up in the work we do with customers every day. Brand owners are no longer asking whether packaging should be more sustainable; they are asking how to move faster, make better decisions, manage new requirements, and demonstrate

progress with confidence. That shift is reshaping our role. As the world's largest Hybrid Packaging Supplier®, we sit at the intersection of brands, suppliers, materials, regulations, data, design, and operations. Our responsibility is to help customers connect those pieces in practical ways. This report reflects how we are doing that work: strengthening our own sustainability practices, expanding customer-facing solutions, investing in our people, and supporting the communities where we live and work.

Sustainability drives Berlin Packaging's growth, not where we invest, how we build capabilities, and how we create value for customers navigating evolving regulations, retailer expectations, and consumer demand. We treat sustainability as a core business strategy to de-risk supply chains, unlock innovation, and support customers as they future-proof their packaging portfolios. Our approach is centered on three strategic pillars: circular design, material optimization, and reuse and refill, all supported by robust data and digital tools as a comprehensive service platform. These priorities guide how we evolve our product portfolio, engage suppliers, and focus our design and innovation work.
to life at the front end of innovation. Our designers, engineers, sustainability experts, and regulatory specialists work together to embed circularity, the earliest stages of packaging development. Tools such as Packgine.ai-style configurators and sustainability scorecards allow us to test concepts quickly and show customers how design choices can affect recyclability, carbon footprint, cost, and performance. We are also expanding how we define "success." Historically, packaging had to look great, perform on the line, and meet cost targets. Today, it must also support environmental and regulatory goals. Over time, we believe growth will come from helping customers transition to packaging that delivers concurrently on performance, compliance, and environmental impact.
Introduction
15
What sustainability challenges are customers facing most often, and how is Berlin Packaging addressing them? Customers often face three interconnected
challenges: complex regulations, difficult tradeoffs, and fragmented data. Requirements around extended producer responsibility (EPR), recyclability labeling, recycled content, and state, national, and regional packaging rules continue to evolve — and they do not always align across markets. At the same time, brands are working to improve recyclability and reduce emissions without compromising
than optimizing for only one metric. Sustainability scorecards and AI-assisted tools help us compare scenarios quickly, including changes in recyclability, carbon footprint, weight, material selection, and cost. Data is another critical focus area. We are building more consistent, data-rich tools to help customers evaluate packaging across circularity, regulatory readiness, carbon impact, and commercial fit. By moving toward interactive scorecards and AIassisted workflows, we can help teams test options and see implications in minutes rather than weeks.

intelligent tools. One area where Berlin Packaging the standard. That means designing packaging that works within existing collection and recycling systems, incorporates recycled content responsibly, and explores reuse or refill models where they are operationally and commercially viable.
There is also a significant opportunity to better connect sustainability with brand experience. Consumers are looking for packaging that is intuitive, credible, and easy to understand. They do not want complicated disposal instructions or vague claims. Through Studio One Eleven, we can help brands create packaging where the sustainability story is built into the structure, materials, and user experience. When done well, sustainable packaging can strengthen trust, reinforce quality, and enhance brand loyalty. The third opportunity is AI-enabled, data-rich design. Tools such as Packgine can accelerate

identify viable, regulation-aligned, sustainabilityoptimized packaging pathways. Berlin Packaging's role is to connect that intelligence with the realities of manufacturing, supply chains, sourcing, and compliance. That combination will help ensure ideas are not only innovative but also practical, scalable, and commercially feasible.

Materiality Assessment In 2025, Berlin Packaging advanced our materiality approach in the EMEA region through a double materiality assessment aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive ("CSRD") and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards ("ESRS"). This assessment strengthened the connection between our sustainability strategy, stakeholder expectations, and long-term business priorities by identifying the Impacts, Risks, and Opportunities ("IROs") most relevant to our operations and value chain. Double materiality forms the foundation of our sustainability reporting approach. It evaluates sustainability topics from two complementary perspectives. Impact materiality considers the actual or potential effects of our activities on people and the environment, including those connected to upstream suppliers and downstream customers. Financial materiality considers how sustainability-related risks and opportunities may affect our operational and financial performance over the short, medium, and long term.
Evaluation Process
Our assessment considered the organization's business model, core activities, and business relationships across our upstream value chain, own operations, and downstream value chain. Based on this analysis, we developed a preliminary list of potentially relevant IROs across environmental, social, and governance topics. These IROs were assessed using structured criteria, including scale, scope, likelihood, and financial magnitude, consistent with the ESRS and Berlin Packaging's enterprise risk management approach.

Goals and Progress In 2025, we enhanced our greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions goals and made significant strides to advance circularity, packaging innovation, waste management, energy conservation, sustainable supply chain, and more. Our goals are intricately linked with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals ("SDGs"), as well as the Global Reporting Initiative ("GRI") standards.
Berlin Packaging furthered its long-term commitment to internationally recognized safety standards. In 2025, we achieved ISO 45001:2018 multisite certification across 16 EMEA locations, establishing a more consistent framework for occupational health and safety management, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Unless stated otherwise, all our public commitments and progress, such as those related to greenhouse gas emissions and renewable energy procurement, specifically apply to our Americas and EMEA regions, which make up over 80% of our global footprint. Our commitments and progress are all set against our 2022 baseline. We expect to continue refining our goals as our business, data, and regulatory context evolve, and we will share progress updates in future reports.

Climate Action and Decarbonization Plan Climate action remains a core part of Berlin Packaging's sustainability strategy and long-term business resilience. Our greatest opportunity to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions extends beyond our direct operations to the materials, logistics, product design, and end-of-life pathways that shape our value chain. In 2025, we strengthened our climate strategy by improving the quality, coverage, and usefulness of our GHG emissions inventory. Following material improvements in data quality, expanded organizational coverage, and greater use of activity-based reporting, particularly within Purchased Goods and Services, 2025 will serve as our baseline year for climate planning and performance tracking. This updated inventory provides a more complete and decision-useful view of our emissions profile and helps direct resources to the areas where Berlin Packaging can drive the greatest impact.

We restated historical emissions because our underlying inventory improved materially during the reporting cycle. These updates reflect more complete activity data, corrected fuel and electricity information, broader site and business unit coverage, the inclusion of acquisitions, expanded Scope 2 reporting, and a consistent baseline methodology aligned with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. These changes do not reflect a sudden shift in operational performance. Instead, they provide a more precise representation of existing activities and the contribution of newly acquired businesses. This improved baseline will be used consistently in future reporting to preserve comparability, support decision-making, and track progress with greater confidence.

Scope 3: Value-Chain Decarbonization Scope 3 emissions represent the most significant component of Berlin Packaging's climate footprint. In 2025, our Scope 3 emissions totaled 3,338,224 tCO2e. Purchased Goods and Services was the
largest category at 2,480,010 tCO2e, followed by Processing of Sold Products at 462,695 tCO2e,
End-of-Life Treatment at 153,022 tCO2e, Downstream Transportation at 134,353 tCO2e, and Upstream Transportation at 89,807 tCO2e.
This profile creates a clear road map for action. Purchased Goods and Services must remain the top priority because it represents the largest share of value-chain emissions. Processing of Sold Products, End-of-Life Treatment, and Transportation represent the next most material categories and will continue to shape our decarbonization strategy. Operational decarbonization remains important, but long-term progress will depend primarily on coordinated value-chain action.

Waste and Energy Management: Embedding Sustainability into Everyday Operations In 2025, Berlin Packaging strengthened its waste and energy management programs through practical, site-level actions that embedded sustainability into daily operations. Across warehouses, offices, and regional teams, the company advanced initiatives that aimed to reduce landfill impact, improve recycling practices, conserve energy, and engage employees in responsible resource use.

Waste Diversion and Circularity Berlin Packaging's waste management programs reflect the company's self-imposed goal of reducing
dependency on landfills and expanding circular material flows. In the Americas, over 860 employees (84% of the region's workforce) completed waste management training in 2025.
At the Napa Valley warehouse, sustainability practices are built into the site's operating model. The facility manages a broad range of waste and returnable streams. In 2025, Napa Valley avoided landfill disposal for 7,127 tons out of 7,223 tons of waste or returnables, achieving a 98.7% avoidance rate. This performance was supported by disciplined sorting, reuse, returnable packaging systems, supplier partnerships, local recycling relationships, and recurring employee communication. Napa Valley's model also illustrates the value of circular logistics. Returnable pallets, tier sheets, top frames, and other dunnage are recovered and returned through supplier programs. Broken or unusable pallets are sold to pallet suppliers, which rebuild them using recoverable wood. For glass, the facility uses both small-scale dock-door recycling and local recycling partners that can handle full truckloads. At the Pittsburgh warehouse, a more complex operating environment with a broader product mix and specialty packaging shapes waste management. To meet these challenges, Pittsburgh has developed a structured recycling program supported by two balers for plastic and cardboard, dedicated recycling areas for glass, paper, plastic, cardboard, metal, and other materials, and a 5S visual organization system that helps employees identify the correct waste stream at the point of use. In 2025, Pittsburgh collected 1,393,425 pounds, or 696.71 net tons, of materials through its recycling program. The program reported resource savings of 8,855 trees, 3,646,055 gallons of water, 2,187,633 kilowatt hours of energy, 2,369 cubic yards of landfill space, 285,652 gallons of fuel, and 41,803 pounds of air particulates, according to our recycling vendor's 2025 environmental impact report.

Responsible Supply Chain At Berlin Packaging, we view responsible supply chain management as a core driver of sustainability, resilience, and long-term value. We embed ESG considerations into how we source materials, evaluate suppliers, design logistics networks, manage inventory, and support customers with packaging solutions that balance performance, cost, service, and environmental impact. Our approach starts with a “best total value” mindset. We do not treat sustainability as a separate initiative or a trade-off against business performance. Instead, we evaluate supply chain decisions across multiple dimensions, including cost, quality, reliability, service, resilience, and sustainability. This approach helps us identify solutions that reduce emissions and resource use while strengthening the durability and efficiency of our supply chain.

Fostering ESG in Supplier Relationships We work with suppliers that share our commitment to
environmental stewardship, ethical practices, compliance, quality, and innovation. Our supplier engagement process combines
third-party data, direct dialogue, supplier assessments, and, where appropriate, deeper visibility into upstream supply chains. We use these inputs to evaluate risks related to labor practices, environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and responsible sourcing. We encourage suppliers to complete internationally recognized ESG assessments, including EcoVadis and Sedex. These tools help us identify gaps, evaluate environmental and social risks, and work with suppliers to improve performance over time.

Circular Packaging Innovation At Berlin Packaging, circularity is more than a sustainability priority. It is a design discipline, an innovation framework, and a practical way to help customers reduce environmental impact while creating packaging that performs in the market. Over the past several years, sustainability has become a foundational requirement within our Innovation & Design strategy. Today, our teams integrate environmental performance into the earliest phases of development, alongside aesthetics, functionality, usability, manufacturability, and commercial viability. Before a package is engineered, sourced, or launched, we ask how it can use materials more responsibly, reduce unnecessary weight and accessories, improve recyclability, support reuse or refill, and deliver measurable value across its life cycle. This approach is grounded in Berlin Packaging's sustainable packaging pillars: material circularity, component optimization, and reuse and refill. These pillars give our design, engineering, sustainability, and sourcing teams a shared framework for decision-making. They also help customers translate sustainability goals into actionable packaging strategies, from switching to more sustainable materials and increasing post-consumer recycled (PCR) content to redesigning formats to improve transport efficiency to developing refillable systems that keep packaging in use longer.

Sustainability as a Design Discipline Our Studio One Eleven design and innovation teams play a central role in this work. Across global studio locations, designers and engineers use quantitative assessment tools, recyclability matrices, material selection frameworks, and rapid prototyping capabilities to evaluate packaging concepts before they move into production. These tools make environmental trade-offs visible and help customers make decisions based on data rather than assumptions. Sustainability is assessed at each stage of the process, not as a final checkpoint, but as a core design constraint that shapes material choices, structural decisions, user experience, and end-of-life outcomes. This integrated model creates value for both customers and Berlin Packaging. By combining design and materials expertise, sustainability analytics, engineering knowledge, and access to a global network of 1,700+ packaging converters, we can efficiently move promising ideas from concept to commercial scale. Our model also aligns our success with customer outcomes: we are invested in whether the package launches, performs, and helps advance the customer's business and sustainability goals. In 2025, this work delivered measurable impact. Berlin Packaging supplied 14,000+ metric tons of PCR material, a 14% increase over 2024. These results reflect the growing role of data-driven design and circular material strategies in our customer partnerships.

Scaling Innovation Through Collaboration We also recognize that there is no universal answer to sustainable packaging design. The best solution depends on the full value chain, including material availability, local recycling infrastructure, product lifespan, supply chain configuration, performance requirements, consumer behavior, and total environmental impact. The long-standing comparison between glass and plastic illustrates this complexity: the optimal choice depends on context. That is why Berlin Packaging uses quantitative assessment, recyclability guidance, supplier insights, and regulatory intelligence to help customers assess the best path forward. Collaboration remains essential to scaling circular solutions. We work closely with customers, suppliers, universities, research institutions, start-ups, third-party sustainability organizations, and industry forums to identify emerging materials, test new formats, and validate environmental performance. Partnerships with organizations such as the Science Based Targets initiative, the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, the Association of Plastic Recyclers, and ClimatePartner help support credibility, benchmarking, and transparency. At the same time, our supplier relationships help bring new material innovations and refill systems closer to commercial reality.
There is no one-size-fits-all answer in sustainable packaging. The strongest solutions come from understanding the full value chain and choosing the path that delivers measurable impact. - Jorn Veldhuis, New Product Development Director, EMEA Innovation and Design

FUTURefill also supports operational efficiency. Both the main product and the refill use the same 30-ml glass bottle format, helping optimize purchasing, filling, and supply chain processes. The main product is assembled with the pump engine connected to the bottle and is ready for the first sale. The refill version uses a locking cap that plugs into the connector body, sealing the product and keeping the connector clean until reassembly. At the end of the package's life cycle, FUTURefill further supports circularity through separable components. Consumers can remove the connector from the glass bottle, helping facilitate proper disposal and separation of materials. This design choice reflects Berlin Packaging’s broader sustainability approach: embedding environmental considerations from concept through design, production, logistics, use, and end-of-life. FUTURefill proves that refillable beauty packaging can be clean, easy, and premium. It gives brands a differentiated refill platform that supports sustainability goals while preserving the aesthetics, hygiene, and functionality consumers expect from high-quality beauty packaging.

Every detail supports both usability and performance. The ring-free finish improves washing and drying, while the wide base strengthens stability. The wider jar diameter helps protect the closure from shocks and reduces the risk of vacuum loss. The stackable design, created through the interaction of the base and closure, also improves shelf-space efficiency and supports practical handling across the value chain. Easy Jars prove that sustainable design is not utilitarian. By combining right-weighted glass, standard closure compatibility, production efficiency, and refined aesthetics, the collection provides food brands with a high-performance packaging platform that supports both environmental responsibility and product visibility.

Market Solutions At Berlin Packaging, we help customers across major consumer markets advance sustainability while protecting the qualities that make their products successful: brand distinction, product performance, consumer experience, cost competitiveness, and reliable supply. We serve food, beverage, spirits, beer, wine, beauty, personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, household care, automotive aftermarket, industrial, and pet care customers with market-specific packaging strategies and solutions. Our approach starts with each market's realities. Consumer expectations, regulatory pressures, retailer requirements, product performance needs, and sustainability opportunities differ by category. Through our C.O.R.E. sustainability framework — Circularity, Optimization, Reuse & Refill, and Environmental Services (EPR & compliance) — we help customers evaluate materials, improve recyclability, increase recycled content where feasible, reduce unnecessary weight, assess quantitative environmental impacts, develop refill and reuse models, and communicate credible sustainability claims.
Berlin Packaging 2025 Sustainability Report
Beauty and Personal Care Beauty and personal care brands face a fast-moving sustainability landscape. Consumers increasingly expect clean, responsible products, and those expectations now extend beyond formulas into packaging. Retailers, regulators, and customers also continue to raise expectations around recyclability, recycled content, responsible sourcing, and transparent claims. In this sector, Berlin Packaging helps brands align sustainability with the visual language of beauty. Clean beauty often favors minimalist, formulaforward packaging with fewer decorative treatments, less material complexity, and a more restrained aesthetic. This approach can strengthen recyclability potential, reduce production complexity, and reinforce a brand's ingredient and wellness story. We help beauty and personal care brands achieve their sustainability goals through PCR content, recyclability, mono-material design, lightweighting, and reusable and refillable formats. Our Packgine intelligence platform enables beauty brands to track recyclability compliance and recycled content performance at the SKU level. Our expertise also includes sustainable decoration technologies that maintain aesthetic appeal while supporting circular economy principles and compliance requirements.

pursue structured ESG goals, GHG reduction plans, recyclability targets, retailer scorecards, and decarbonization road maps. Smaller brands often seek practical packaging solutions that support differentiation and credible claims without adding unnecessary cost. For glass food and beverage applications, lightweighting, quantitative assessment, and responsible sourcing offer strong sustainability levers. These strategies help customers reduce material use, evaluate carbon impact, and address questions about sourcing, transportation, and fuel use. For plastic packaging, customers often prioritize PCR content and recyclability. In the oils and vinegars category, packaging serves as a powerful vehicle for brand storytelling. Consumers increasingly want cues around health, authenticity, origin, processing methods, quality, and environmental responsibility. environmental impact without sacrificing premium perception. In glass spirits packaging, lightweighting has become the leading sustainability priority, but the market requires a disciplined approach. Brands still need strong shelf presence, distinctive shapes, tactile details, and premium cues. Berlin Packaging helps customers replace “weight as premium” with “design as premium.” Through structural design, embossing, ribbing, sculpted bases, semi-custom molds, and refined decoration strategies, we help brands reduce material while preserving the visual impact consumers expect from premium spirits. We offer lightweight glass bottles with up to 75% recycled content (certified for reduced carbon impact), recycled paperboard bottles with a food-grade pouch, caps and closures made from renewable materials, and plant-based labels. For many brands, the strongest sustainability story comes from measured weight reduction, efficient design, quantitative analysis, and decoration choices that align with performance, durability, budget, and recyclability goals.

A Practical Model for Every Stage of the Journey Customers do not all start from the same place. Some need a clear sustainability road map. Others need hands-on implementation support. Larger organizations may need a comprehensive operating system that spans multiple markets. We structure our Sustainability Services across three engagement models: Advisory, Managed, and Platform. Through Advisory engagements, we help customers understand their current state, assess gaps, evaluate options, and create focused road maps. Through Managed engagements, we support execution by coordinating suppliers, tracking progress, managing programs, and helping teams implement solutions across products and markets. Through Platform engagements, we combine sustainability consulting with Packgine, our proprietary sustainability intelligence platform, and AI-powered digital tools that support continuous portfolio optimization, compliance management, impact modeling, scenario planning, and reporting.

Circularity, Optimization, and Reuse Berlin Packaging builds sustainable packaging strategies around three core pillars: circularity, optimization, and reuse. Circularity focuses on recycled, recyclable, and alternative materials. Optimization reduces unnecessary material, eliminates packaging components where feasible, improves product performance, and can reduce environmental impact and cost. Reuse includes refillable, returnable, and reusable packaging models designed for at-home, in-store, and on-the-go use. A package must support sustainability goals, but it must also protect the product, perform through filling and distribution, meet consumer expectations, and work within commercial realities. Our teams evaluate these trade-offs and help customers identify solutions that improve environmental outcomes while supporting business performance. When a sustainable stock solution exists, we can help customers find it. When a stock solution is unavailable, our Studio One Eleven team can design, engineer, and develop one. Because our portfolio does not limit us to one material or technology platform, we can provide fact-based recommendations across substrates, formats, and end-of-life pathways. We help customers move ideas into implementation by connecting strategy, sourcing, design, compliance, and commercialization. That integrated model gives customers a practical path from concept to market.

People At Berlin Packaging, our success begins with our people and is built on the meaningful connections we form in the communities we serve. Guided by our 1Berlin values and an Anything Is Possible® mindset, we are committed to creating long-term value through initiatives that prioritize shared success, inclusivity, well-being, and opportunity. This mindset comes to life every day through employees who take ownership, solve problems creatively, support one another across teams and regions, and turn challenges into opportunities to create value for customers, colleagues, communities, and the business. Our Talent and Culture strategy is anchored in three unified pillars: Workforce, Workplace, and Marketplace — designed to empower all Berliners to think and act like owners, strengthen our culture, and drive positive impact in the communities where we live and work. In 2025, we advanced this strategy globally through investments in talent development, employee engagement, inclusive hiring, workplace wellbeing, and community partnerships. Across our Americas and EMEA regions, we introduced new tools, policies, and programs that strengthened transparency, expanded access to development opportunities, and enhanced the employee experience while reinforcing our commitment to sustainable growth.

employees gained greater visibility into how company value is created and how their everyday decisions contribute to sustainable growth and operational performance. In addition, we have robust suggestion programs, which empower employees to have a voice by contributing their ideas to directly impact positive change, drive innovation, and foster continuous improvement. This ownership mindset is reflected in day-to-day decisions that create tangible value, such as finding alternate supply solutions, accelerating critical shipments, improving freight and billing processes, reducing avoidable delays, preventing quality issues from reaching customers, and identifying more efficient ways to use existing systems and tools. These actions demonstrate that value creation is not limited to formal programs or leadership roles; it is driven by Berliners at every level who understand how their decisions affect customers, colleagues, and company performance. We also introduced a co-investment opportunity that allowed employees globally to voluntarily invest alongside the organization, further reinforcing shared accountability and long-term value creation.
Diversity and Inclusion
At Berlin Packaging, we believe that creating an environment where
employees feel respected, supported, and
empowered enables individuals and teams to perform at their best.
Throughout 2025, employees in select regions participated in training sessions focused on topics such as intergenerational collaboration, intercultural awareness, unconscious bias, and inclusive leadership. These programs supported crossfunctional dialogue and helped employees better understand diverse perspectives and experiences. Dedicated workshops for hiring managers and business leaders reinforced expectations around inclusive hiring practices and unbiased people management. In EMEA, employees and managers also participated in training programs addressing diversity in the workplace. We continue to reinforce our expectations for integrity, accountability, and respectful behavior through our Global Code of Conduct, which is reviewed during new employee onboarding and reaffirmed annually by all Berliners.

Workplace: Inspiring a Thriving Culture Our workplace is more than a place to earn a paycheck — it is a collaborative environment where employees are encouraged to share ideas, build relationships, and contribute to a thriving culture rooted in accountability, inclusion, and shared success. It is also a culture where employees are trusted to act, where practical creativity is valued, and where continuous improvement is built through everyday choices that make work safer, smarter, and more productive.

Our Global Sustainability Team continued engaging the packaging community through sustainability-focused workshops, supplier meetings, trade shows, and regional learning sessions. Additionally, we regularly updated Berliners on our ESG progress. In the Americas and EMEA, over 3,000 hours of available sustainability-related training encompassed regulatory compliance webinars, waste management workshops, product procurement, and circular economy education programs. In EMEA, our 2024 sustainability achievements were highlighted through training sessions with over 430 Berliners in four languages: English, Italian, Spanish, and French. Furthermore, sustainability communication campaigns and environmental awareness initiatives were implemented across EMEA sites to reinforce best practices in waste management and encourage employee participation. As part of our EMEA sales team's development, we strengthened sustainability sales enablement through targeted training across multiple regions and market segments. These training sessions enhanced employees’ understanding of sustainability topics and sharpened their ability to communicate Berlin Packaging’s environmental value proposition effectively to customers. By building internal knowledge, we continue to embed sustainability into customer engagement and support our business partners in advancing their sustainability goals.

Health & Safety: Strengthening Employee Well-Being At Berlin Packaging, the health, safety, and well-being of our people are our top priorities.
Across the Americas and EMEA, we strengthened our Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) culture through employee engagement, digital innovation, standardized practices, structured inspections, targeted training, and cross-regional collaboration. These initiatives reflect a shared commitment to preventing incidents, enhancing working conditions, and empowering every employee to take an active role in maintaining a safe workplace. In the Americas, we advanced our HSE programs through a more rigorous inspection and accountability framework. Safety Champions (local Berliner volunteers) at each site conduct monthly self-inspections, while Safety Ambassadors (also local employee volunteers) complete facility safety audits using the same inspection criteria to validate performance, identify gaps, and drive corrective action. Audit scores enable teams to track progress, compare self-assessment results with independent reviews, and prioritize follow-up actions where needed. Safety teams document and track corrective actions through closure, reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement. We expanded our safety footwear policy across all Americas’ warehouse locations, providing employees with an annual credit to purchase approved safety footwear and reinforcing our commitment to employee protection. Additional new safety resources include enhanced reporting systems for hazards or concerns, fire blankets, and choking rescue devices across facilities.

Marketplace: Creating Positive Impact in Our Communities We believe thriving communities are essential to building a
sustainable future. Through our Marketplace pillar, we focus on creating meaningful impact through community partnerships, volunteerism, sustainability initiatives, and charitable giving. In 2025, employees across the Americas and EMEA actively supported volunteer activities, disaster relief, food insecurity efforts, sustainability, and community partnerships aligned with our mission. The same ownership mindset that drives organizational success also strengthens our community impact. Berliners see a need, act, rally resources, and contribute their time and expertise to help others.
Berlin Packaging 2025 Sustainability Report
Expanding Community Engagement
One of the most significant milestones
in 2025 was the launch of EMEA's Employee
Volunteering Policy, which provides Berliners with
up to four paid volunteer hours annually to support approved community service initiatives.
The policy encourages participation in activities that: • Benefit local communities • Align with Berlin Packaging’s values and purpose • Support employee development and engagement The program has already supported increased employee participation in local volunteering initiatives, including blood donation campaigns, employment readiness workshops, and community outreach activities. By giving employees time and encouragement to act, the policy reinforces a culture where Berliners are empowered to contribute their skills, ideas, and energy in ways that strengthen both local communities and employee engagement. In France, HR leaders participated in employment and interview coaching workshops designed to help job seekers strengthen interview skills, enhance resumé writing, and improve career readiness.

Climate Action and Environmental Stewardship
We expanded partnerships promoting environmental sustainability and community development.
In the Americas, our ongoing partnership with Southside Blooms remained a flagship initiative in 2025. Through volunteer engagement, operational consulting, and strategic support, Berlin Packaging employees contributed to an organization dedicated to transforming vacant urban lots into sustainable flower farms that create jobs and career guidance for underserved youth. Berliners volunteered at Southside Blooms’ Cook County garden, contributing 30 collective volunteer hours through planting and garden maintenance activities. Teams also supported the organization through inventory management consulting, packaging expertise, and a bi-weekly flower subscription for corporate offices.

Food Security and Community Well-Being
Addressing food insecurity remained a major focus of our community engagement efforts. Through partnerships with Feeding America and the Greater Chicago Food Depository, employees participated in meal packing and food distribution efforts benefiting communities across the United States. As part of the 9/11 Day of Service, our employees joined more than 1,600 volunteers to pack over 500,000 meals for distribution throughout the Chicagoland area. Additional support included a $5,000 donation from our Texas business units to the San Antonio Food Bank to support flood relief efforts. During the holiday season, Berliners packed 145 cases of pasta through the Greater Chicago Food Depository, helping serve approximately 1,750 households.

Disaster Relief and Humanitarian Support
Berlin Packaging continued strengthening its partnership with the American Red Cross in 2025 through financial contributions, employee volunteerism, and disaster response support.
We contributed $20,000 to support American Red Cross disaster relief initiatives through Ready 365 and the National Emergency Response Fund. Employees also assembled 100 personal care kits for homeless veterans in the Chicagoland area. On Giving Tuesday, Berlin Packaging partnered with CBS Chicago to support a televised fundraising campaign benefiting American Red Cross disaster relief efforts, including a company donation match program.
