During hot weather, dogs can become dehydrated quickly, and even mild dehydration can lead to serious health concerns if left untreated. Learning the warning signs and taking steps to keep your pet hydrated can help ensure a safe and happy summer.
The Veterinary Emergency Group says signs of mild dehydration may include:
• Dry nose (though this can also indicate other issues)
• Excessive drooling
• Fatigue or reluctance to move
• Sticky gums
