Hello and welcome to Commencement, the yearly graduation section of The Berkshire Eagle.
Inside these pages, you’ll find complete graduation lists naming the members of the Class of 2024 for each high school and college in the Berkshires, as well as their awards, memorable moments and pictures as captured by Eagle staff.
I’m The Eagle’s night news editor and this is the third year I’ve edited and designed this section. It’s a great honor and privilege, as I’m a Berkshire County graduate twice over, being an alumnus of Wahconah Regional High School and the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
The Berkshires is a very special place to grow up and be educated in. From our easy access to natural resources and cultural institutions, to the intimate, small-town feel the county offers, every Berkshire school provides a unique, enriching experience for our youths.
Commencement represents both the end of their educational journeys and the start of their next chapters in life. Its moments are ones they’ll remember for the rest of their lives, which we capture in this special publication.
We at The Eagle put together this section because we care. Every graduate is important, which is why we are committed to running their names in print and photograph-
ing as many of their special moments as we can. You’ll find dozens of photographs of local graduates in this section, with many more available online.
HOW TO PURCHASE IMAGES
To buy a photo of your graduate, visit The Eagle’s photography website at mng-neni.smugmug.com.
The Eagle’s photography sales website offers a range of options for how you’d like your images, including high-quality digital downloads and physical prints on stretched canvases, as well as on keepsakes like fridge magnets, mugs, buttons, key tags and more.
To get started, visit mng-neni.smugmug. com. Search for your graduate’s commencement photo gallery using the name of your school, then select the image you want and click on the green shopping cart icon. Once there, select how you’d like the image printed, or select “Downloads,” where you get the digital file of the image in a resolution of your choice. You can also buy multiple photos at once. Photos will be shipped right to your home via our photography site vendor, SmugMug.
Most Berkshire Eagle photographs can be purchased through our photo site — it’s not limited to just graduation photos. (Looking for prom photos, too? Smugmug has got you covered!)
When you buy a photo, you also help support The Eagle in its mission to become the best community newspaper in the nation,
while getting the highest quality versions of our work possible.
DOWNLOADING PAGES FROM THE E-EDITION
If you like any page here and want a digital copy, PDFs of every page are available to every subscriber through their e-edition, the online replica of the printed newspaper.
To do so, go to berkshireeagle.com, click on “Latest e-edition,” then navigate to “Pages.” You’ll then have the option to download individual pages, this entire section, or multiple pages you select.
SPECIAL THANKS
This section wouldn’t have been possible without an entire village of people here at The Eagle, from our advertising sales department, to our team of reporters, photographers, designers, editors and production staff.
It would also not have been possible without the leadership of our executive editor, Kevin Moran; managing editor, Lindsey Hollenbaugh; chief revenue officer, Gary Lavariere; and lastly, our president and publisher, Fredric Rutberg, as well as our entire local ownership group, for whom I am grateful.
All of them helped bring this section to life and they have my appreciation. Without further ado, please join me in welcoming Berkshire County’s Class of 2024.
