Honored to host the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship in September of 2021, Berkeley Hall will welcome some of the top talented amateur players in the world. The 34th U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur will be the club’s third USGA championship, and continues our tradition of hosting premier amateur tournaments such as The Players Amateur from 2012 to 2019.

Making a Difference Locally With a rich history of philanthropy in the Lowcountry, our Berkeley Hall Charitable Foundation’s vision is to "Make a difference by addressing the basic human needs of the greater Bluffton Community, especially those who are most vulnerable."

Thanks to the generosity of the Berkeley Hall community, the Charitable Foundation has raised more than $1.7 million for Bluffton area charities since its inception in 2008.

hen news of the Coronav irus broke, BHC member Gary Crandall’s first thought was “I’d like to do what I can in this fight.” Crandall did just that in the early 90’s during the Gulf War, pivoting his Ohio-based pool compan y’s manufacturing efforts toward producin g camouflage covers for M1 tanks and Apache helicopters.

As they quickly turned from cutting and sewing safety product s for the pool industry to creating mask sewing-k its for the medical community, word spread and volunteers came forward.

In total, GLI Pool Product s donated over 140,000 masks to first responders, healthcare workers and nursing homes.

Local businesses, church groups and home voluntee rs in the Ohio area stepped in to take part. “We provided a safe pickup for the mask kits,” he added.

Berkeley Hall’s forward thinking and exciting vision takes shape with $5.1M Phase I of our $15M Master Plan. The reimagined Clubhouse centers around the new 4-Seasons Veranda. Here, members can gather for casual dining on the nearly 5,000 square-foot Veranda year-round. Whether enjoying drinks after a round or dining as the sun sets with views of North Course #9th and #18th holes.

Club refinements reflect our casual Lowcountry design; the renovated Mixed Grille serves as a more formal dining venue with a relaxed sophistication found throughout updates to the Jeffersonian-style Clubhouse.

With an influx of new members this year, Berkeley Hall’s membership is a growing one. One shared sentiment is the desire to find a forward-thinking community. Phase I demonstrates that commitment to an enhanced member experience.
