Dear Berkeley Hall Member,

We are proud to introduce the 2027 Golf Program Book to the membership. We look forward to the upcoming season which will include exciting new tournaments, updated tournaments, and golf programs for the whole membership to enjoy.

The 2027 Golf Program Book is available to view via the Club’s website, as well as via the Club App. Go to www.berkeleyhallclub.com, under the Golf Corner Page and click on 2027 Men’s Program. The event registration portal is available via the Golf dropdown menu of the website or under the Golf section on the Club App We will be using Golf Genius event registration for all tournament entries in 2027.

This year’s Tournament Book includes the complete 2027 schedule and information for the “major” tournaments along with information on Golf Course Maintenance & Nine & Wine Events.

As a reminder, all 2027 tournament/event registration will be available on the Club’s website via the Events Registration Portal. Men’s and Ladies’ day events will continue to be held on Wednesday’s and Thursday’s respectively and registration is through the Events Registration Portal or by calling the Golf Shop. Please remember to register early for all your favorite events!

The Men’s Golf Program has been a huge hit over the years with events averaging 70-90 players per event! Each event will be a shotgun with lunch following the round.

Heading into the 2027 Men’s Day season we will have nine events consisting of five in the spring and four in the fall. In these events this season there will be the opportunity to win individual and team skins based on the format of the event for that month. Winnings from the team event and skins will be tracked to determine our Money list champion. Payouts for the event will be distributed to the top 1/3 of the flight, team skins will be divided equally between the players, and players that win an individual skin get to bank it for themselves. Events will be flighted providing we have at least 12 teams in the event. This flighting will apply to the event and skins payouts. Players will also have an opportunity to boost their winnings with 4 CTP’s each round.

The Mixed Nine & Wine Golf events are very popular and are a great way to meet new Members and enjoy fun team formats. Each event will be a shotgun with drinks & heavy hors d’oeuvres served following the round. You may sign up as a team of four, or sign up as a two and we will pair you.

EventEligibility

Members in good standing with the Club, and whose account is not in arrears, on the date of such event, are eligible to play in events. All members and guests that enter events must have an active handicap recognized by the USGA (GHIN preferred).

Dependents (Children of members in good standing, up to their 25th birthday) are eligible to play in Club events, with the exception of the Berkeley Classic and the Women’s Invitational. Dependents may play in the Club Challenge and the Berkeley Cup as long as they have a member that is in good standing playing in the same team.

Club members, that are also golf professionals, may enter all events except for the Club Championship. They must have an active GHIN handicap on the BHC roster. They (or their team) will not be eligible for any Gross prizes.

Members that invite golf professionals as their guests to play in an event, must ensure that their guest has an active GHIN handicap. Golf Professionals (and their teams) are not eligible to win any Gross prizes.

BerkeleyHallDressCode

Appropriate golf attire is required for all Players. If in doubt as to appropriate attire, players should check with the Golf Shop staff.

Shirts must be worn at all times. Men must have shirts with sleeves and collars (turtlenecks or mock collars are acceptable) and their shirts must be tucked in at all times. Women's golf specific sleeveless tops must have a collar. Women's golf specific tops without a collar must have sleeves. Slacks, trousers, athletic pants with pockets, shorts, skirts, dresses, skorts, and other attire, in styles designed for golf are permitted. There is no specific length requirement on dresses, shorts, skirts, or skorts; however, attire must present a professional image and undergarments may not be obviously visible. Leggings may be worn underneath an approved bottom but may not be worn alone. Hats must be worn with the bill facing forward. Denim, bathing suits, cargo pants/shorts (sewn on/extruding pockets), cut-offs, sweatpants, halter tops, tops that expose midriffs, and t-shirts not branded/designed for golf are prohibited. Fashion and industry standards are constantly changing; therefore, this is not an exhaustive list of acceptable and inappropriate attire but should serve as a guide. The Golf Shop staff reserves the right to make the final determination of the appropriateness of attire.

Shoes: Soft Spikes and Tennis Shoes are the only acceptable shoes for the golf courses and practice facilities. Large rubber spikes, metal spikes, and/or field shoes are not permitted. Acceptable spikes are available through the Locker Room.

BerkeleyHallPaceofPlay&CourseEtiquette

Berkeley Hall’s pace of play policy has been set at 4 hours. Any group that falls behind the fourhour pace will be asked to speed up by the professional staff. Groups will get two warnings and if they cannot get back into position, they will be asked to pick up their balls and proceed to the correct position on the golf course. Members that are asked to skip ahead two times throughout the course of a year will meet with the Director of Golf to discuss different techniques to play in 4 hours or less. Members that are asked to skip ahead a third time will be invited to a Golf Committee meeting and may be restricted from “prime time” tee times. On days that we are Cart Path Only, pace of play will be set at 4 hours and 20 minutes.

Carefully rake sand bunkers after use. Enter and exit the bunkers at their lowest elevation.

2026 - 2027 President’s Cup

Season

Long Individual Match Play Event

You are cordially invited to participate in the annual President’s Cup event to be contested during the months of October 2026 – April 2027.

The field will be limited to the first 64 individuals to register.

This year’s President’s Cup will have 2 stages. The first stage will be the group stage where players will be in Pods of players and will play each person in their group to determine a winner for that Pod. The next stage will be the Knockout stage where the winners of each Pod will play Individual match play until the Overall Champion is decided. For grouping purposes only, players will be grouped based on their Handicap Index** as of September 15, 2026. USGA Handicaps will be used at the time of the match. Players are responsible to schedule their match during the allotted time. Each month, the professional staff will send an update with the matches that have been completed. There will be strictly no extensions to the deadlines. If a match has not been played, a coin toss may decide the result or both teams will be scratched. Members should consider their availability before registering for the event. Brackets will be posted by September 22, 2026.

Season Long Team Match Play Event

You are cordially invited to participate in the annual “Chairman” Four-Ball Match Play event to be contested during the months of October 2026 - April 2027. The “Chairman” will be a year-long, single elimination, handicap, and flighted match play event. Team’s must be comprised of 2 Members and will be flighted based on combined handicap index.

For seeding purposes only, players will be seeded based on their Handicap Index as of September 15, 2026. USGA Handicaps will be used at the time of the match. Players are responsible to schedule their match during the allotted time. There will be strictly no extensions to the deadlines. If a match has not been played, a coin toss may decide the result or both teams will be scratched. Members should consider their availability before registering for the event. You are cordially invited to participate in the Berkeley Cup to be played March 11 – March 13, 2027. The Berkeley Cup is a great opportunity to invite a Golf Professional from your home or previous club to come enjoy the Low Country for a weekend of competition and camaraderie.

Eligible teams will consist of a Golf Professional and 3 Amateurs (Teams may consist of Berkeley Hall Members or Guests. Our Professional Staff will assist your group with finding a Golf Professional if needed.)

Our tournament format and the schedule of events have been included to assist you with your arrangements. Please note that all dress for the tournament will be club casual.

Men’s Super Senior Club Championship

The Super Senior Club Championship will be contested on Wednesday, April 14, 2027. Members aged 65 or over on April 14 are eligible to compete for the Super Senior Championship.

Super Senior Club Championship (65 years of age or older) – Green Tee

18-hole stroke play event with the Super Senior Club Champion being the Member who returns the lowest Gross score.

To encourage more participation, this event is a flighted event, and there will be net prizes in each flight. The flighted portion of the event will be capped at net double bogey as the max for each hole.

Gross & Net prizes will be awarded (based on number of entries)

You are cordially invited to participate in the Member ~ Member to be played April 23 & 24, 2027 Teams will be flighted by total team handicap and compete in a 36-hole Stroke Play Event over the two days. The event will be flighted. Gross & Net prizes will be awarded in each flight and the Net winner of each flight will advance to the shootout to determine the Overall Champion.

We will be using both courses, both days and hope to have a spectacular event for our membership. Our tournament format and the schedule of events have been included to help schedule any outside activities. Please note that all dress for our tournament activities will be club casual.

You are cordially invited to participate in the North ~ South Challenge to be played October 2, 2027. We hope that you will join us for another round of fellowship and spirited team competition. The tournament format and schedule of events are also listed below. Please note that all dress for our tournament activities will be club casual.

Format

Players will sign up as pairs (the golf staff will help pair individuals) and will be assigned to either the Northor Southteam based on the following criteria:

North Team ~ PropertyownersonoraroundtheNorthcourse,CottageownersonClubhousesideofGoodHopeRoadand WillinghamCourt, orotherwisememberswithanevenmembershipnumber.

The winner of the tournament will be the team with the highest point total based on an average of the cumulative totals of their respective players. The number of scores being used will be based on a percentage of the total number of individuals per team.

Berkeley Classic

Wednesday - Saturday, October 13-16, 2027

You are cordially invited to participate in the Men’s Berkeley Classic to be played October 13-16, 2027. The field will be limited, and eligible teams will consist of 1 Member and 1 Guest.

The Berkeley Classic has a lottery-style entry system. The event will have an entry window and a closing date. Following the closing date, a drawing will take place to fill the field. If they have entered before the closing date, The Overall Champions from the previous year will be automatically included in the field. The remaining spots in the event will be drawn at random. Any teams that do not get drawn for a spot in the field will be placed on a waiting list in numbered order. Those teams on the waiting list will be automatically included for the following year if they do not move into the event due to a team dropping out.

Teams that drop out within two weeks of the event will not be eligible to enter the following year. Wait list teams that fill a spot within two weeks, will also maintain their place in the following year’s event due to the late nature of them filling a spot and helping out the event.

The tournament format will consist of 6 nine-hole rounds played over three days. Flights will be made up of 6 teams based on a combined team handicap index. Our tournament format and the schedule of events have been included to assist you. Please note that all dress for after golf activities will be club casual. We welcome you to play in the practice round event on Wednesday, October 13.

Teams will be flighted by total team handicap and compete in a 5 Nine-Hole Matches over the three days. The event will be flighted. The winners of each flight will advance to the Championship Shootout. We will be using both courses, all three days and hope to have a spectacular event for our membership. The “HAIG”

You are cordially invited to participate in the annual HAIG Member ~ Member event to be played on Friday & Saturday, November 19 & 20, 2027.

Teams will compete in a 36-hole Stroke Play Event using the Modified Stableford Scoring. The Golf Course will be set-up to play as “Hard as it Gets.” The team returning the lowest Net score for 36 holes will determine the Overall Champion. Net prizes will be awarded in each flight and a Gross winner for Men and Women will be awarded.

The field will be limited to the first 54 teams to enter. The golf staff is available to answer any questions you may have or to help you find a partner if needed.

Our tournament format and the schedule of events have been included to help schedule any outside activities. Please note that all dress for our tournament activities will be club casual.

Club Challenge

December 2-4, 2027

You are cordially invited to participate in the Club Challenge to be played on December 2-4, 2027. We look forward to seeing teams representing clubs from around the country as we gather for this exciting team competition to be contested over our North and South courses.

Eligible teams will consist of:

• 1 Berkeley Hall Member and 3 Guests from current or previous club.

• 2 Berkeley Hall Members and 2 Guests from current or previous club.

The field will be limited to 28 teams. Teams will be drawn at random following the closing date. If they have entered prior to the closing date, the defending Champions will be automatically included in the field. All teams from the previous year’s waitlist lottery draw will also be added to the field, if they have entered prior to the closing date. All remaining spots in the event will be drawn at random. Any teams that do get drawn for a spot in the field will be placed on a waiting list in numbered order. Those teams on the waiting list will be automatically included for the following year if they do not move into the event due to a team dropping out. Teams that drop out within two weeks of the event will not be eligible to enter the following year. Teams that fill a spot within two weeks will also maintain their place in the following year’s event.

All social functions are limited to the contestants only for this event. Please note that all dress for the tournament will be club casual.
