HISTORY
1953
At the age of 45 caravanning pioneer Alfred Tabbert produced his first caravans with 120 employees. Only two years later the first »Ideal« caravan is produced in series.
1959
Alfred Tabbert founds TABBERT Wohnwagen GmbH. Now, for the first time, innovative, high-quality caravans are built at the Mottgers site.
A MOVING STORY When master coachbuilder Alfred Tabbert presented his first caravan to the public in 1953, he struck a chord with an entire generation. The postwar economic boom brought elegance, chic and a new self-confidence, which TABBERT skilfully expressed in its exterior and interior designs. People wanted to – and could – afford to indulge themselves. “La Dolce Vita” captured the hearts of an entire nation. Europe wanted to travel and live life to the fullest. TABBERT created the products for this, which are reflected in a unique mix of materials, lifestyle interiors, high-quality workmanship and practical design solutions. And so it remains today.

TABBERT caravans get the legendary rear-ventilated roof and the so-called »TABBERT nose« that still characterises the TABBERT style today.
1971
Until 1965 the product portfolio continuously increased up to 14 different models: »Kurfürst«, »Exzellenz«, »Comtesse« and »Gouverneur« capture the industry, so that Alfred Tabbert becomes top of the German manufacturers in 1971.

Probably the most remarkable is the enormous sound insulation. The difference between a normal, sandwich-pressed standard roof and the unique TABBERT construction is not just the solid stability. With every rain or hail shower, the noise reduction is up to 9 decibels or more, which is about one and a half times quieter. This means that you can continue to sleep virtually undisturbed during a night-time downpour. And this is one of many examples of why experienced campers favour a TABBERT.

LIGHTING The extravagant light canopy at the entrance door of the PUCCINI merges seamlessly with a glossy black refrigerator whose door can be opened from both sides. The furniture flap, which is located under the ceiling, conceals a swivel arm for a television, which is thus visible from the living and sleeping areas. Underneath the slightly illuminated shelf, an apothecary drawer with soft-close mechanism offers a surprising amount of space.
The bedside lockers behind the head ends of the beds offer additional storage space, adjustable reading spots, and additional power connections.

ILLUMINATING IDEAS FOR DAY AND NIGHT Like little diamonds, the LED lamps run through the protruding mirror cabinet in the spacious bathroom of the PUCCINI, which not only provides soft lighting but also has a lot to offer in terms of storage space. The sleeping area offers you space to unfold: exceptionally wide comfort beds, extra reading spots, the standard underfloor heating and a backlit mirror create a cosy atmosphere. With the help of the roll-up slats, you can connect the two single beds to form a double bed within seconds.
