Kids’ clothes, shoes, books, puzzles, games and baby supplies are what you’ll find inside Once Upon a Child Waco on the corner of Franklin and New Road. From infants to preteens, the store offers gently used items that are easy on your budget. The store, that just celebrated its five-year anniversary, is a locally owned franchise that allows parents the opportunity to find the supplies they need for a great price and sell the items that their children have outgrown. “We basically offer customers a cash quote for the items we can purchase based on condition, style and demand,” said owner Jennifer Springman. “And there’s no appointment necessary!” Not only can you find clothing and other items that your child might need on a daily basis, but you can also find seasonal and holiday items that are perfect for family photoshoots and get togethers. Once Upon a Child Waco also offers additional ways to save. “We have a rewards program that customers can sign up for that includes coupons and sales alerts,” Springman said. “We also have a New Moms Club for new or expectant mothers. You can get monthly promotions that offer discounts or even free items.” The store owner said she encourages parents to come by and check out what Once Upon a Child has to offer. “We have more inventory than you’d expect,” she said. “And we get new items in every day, so if you don’t find something you need one day, you may the next.” Once Upon a Child is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. For more information about events, special promotions and more, visit www.onceuponachildwaco.com, call 254-265-6237 or visit the store at 4600 Franklin Ave., Ste. 400, Waco, TX.

FOREVER
FA M I L I E S
Community partners helping local children find a brighter future
Kira is a smart, athletic teenager who loves dogs and is excited to find a forever family. The 17-year-old has faced many obstacles in her past, but she strives to be the best she can be. She loves sports and is involved in track, volleyball, softball and basketball.
Kira is looking for a family that will be committed to her for the rest of her life and provide a loving, nurturing home with plenty of structure. The teen would love to be placed with a single-parent or two-parent home with smaller children, so she can be a big sister.
