Located in the heart of Woodway, the Carleen Bright Arboretum’s 16-acre property is home to the Pavilion Event Center, the Grandy Gazebo & Event Lawn, and the Whitehall Tourist & Community Center. It boasts a certified Monarch Waystation, a koi pond, fountains, rose garden, meditation garden, and the Todd Willis Nature Trail. All that paired with the fact that almost half of the property is developed into botanical gardens, it’s no wonder the Arboretum is often referred to as the “Hidden Jewel of Woodway.” The Pavilion Event Center offers a large, open concept that gives you flexibility to design your ceremony or reception exactly as you imagined. The venue holds 300 guests comfortably with a dance floor, or 360 guests without a dance floor. The property’s signature floor to ceiling accordion windows and doors create crisp, natural lighting and provide a view of the gardens. This versatile space is perfect for transitioning from ceremony to reception, while offering an outdoor patio area that creates a fun, breezy space for your cocktail hour. The Grandy Gazebo area has a bench capacity of 60 and a lawn area that seats 300. The Arboretum’s Event and Tourism Manager Erin Swiggart explains, “your event will be surrounded by beautiful landscaping, creating a serene atmosphere for you and your guests.” There is also a beautifully lit bridal path from the Pavilion to the Gazebo that will make for a breathtaking entrance. Inside the Pavilion is the bridal suite, where you’ll find ample seating, two sizeable makeup counters, a women’s restroom and a mini fridge. This space will ensure an enjoyable prep process for your bridal party. The Arboretum checks all the boxes in terms of both beauty and accommodations. “Couples love that they are able to bring their own choice of vendors for food, décor, and anything else they wish to include in their special day,” Erin says. The rental package includes all tables and chairs and you also get access to all facilities, including the bridal suite and caterer’s kitchen. And for some added peace of mind, a staff member will be on site through the entirety of the event to assist with any needs related to the facility. Blush Beauty A Central Texas Styled Shoot at The Hall at River Square cinnamon rose were the charm of this styled shoot. These colors are a romantic pairing for a spring Blush pink and wedding and very flattering in the elegant setting provided by The Hall at River Square Center.
Shelly Taylor Photography captured the venue’s beauty and functionality as well as their decadent entrée and appetizer options. Weddings by Shauna coordinated florals by Hewitt Florist and décor from RSVP Rentals to design and tie together the whole theme of the shoot. The bride is dressed in a satin gown from JoAnn’s Bridal, fitting in perfectly with the picturesque theme and inspiring brides to imagine their own reception in a similar setting.
