A star-filled night sky lights up with a flurry of colored fireworks as the bride and groom and their wedding guests gaze in amazement. While the spectacle in the sky is the star of the show, it is event coordinator, Bricker Bruner who is behind the scenes, making the couple’s dreams come true. “Every client wants that one thing that will make their wedding stand out from every other event,” Bruner said. “Our goal is to help them bring that one element to life.” Bruner Events is an event design and rental company that has been creating trend-setting weddings and events since 2016. They do everything from helping brides coordinate what they already have in mind to “turn-key” events where the company handles coordinating, design, decorating and rentals. Photo by Sophie Epton Photography “[Couples] tell us their budget and we work with their budget and their ideas,” Bruner said. “We try to keep everything kind of clean and on the current trends.” Bruner, a fifth generation Wacoan, has a passion for bringing new concepts and designs to the Greater Waco area. “Our slogan is innovative concepts, creative design, organized planning, flawless execution,” he said. “We try to keep things fresh and new—nothing outdated.” Bruner and his team have more than 40+ years of combined experience, and the company’s owner believes that is part of what makes Bruner Events unique. “We have all seen different things, which helps when you are putting an event together,” he said. “It’s a team effort for sure.” Along with knowledge and a desire to create one-ofa-kind events, Bruner also provides clients with rentals they might not find anywhere else. “We have warehouse space where we have tables, chairs, linens, lounge furniture, centerpiece options like vases, crystal candelabras, and bulb lighting, and even bar and stage facades,” he said. Bruner believes that having a coordinator could be a bride’s biggest asset when it comes to planning her wedding. “Many brides think they can plan their weddings by themselves,” he said. “But the last thing you want to be doing on your special day is stressing about having to put everything together. Coordinators can make your life a lot easier.” For more information about Bruner Events, visit www.brunerevents.com, email info@brunerevents.com or call (254) 716-5809. 7

Uptown Brunch A Central Texas Styled Shoot at The Clifton House
Jeweled tones, ornate architecture and a twisting, towering oak tree made this elegant styled shoot a
royal experience. The Clifton House was an ideal backdrop for deep purples, burgundy, satiny fabrics and pewter accents. Clear, ghost chairs, glass candle holders and crystal vases allowed the venue’s natural light and beauty to shine through the entire setup.
