Bosque Valley Childcare Center opened their doors to three, four and five-year-old children in the fall of 2020 and are now making way for infants and toddlers to join the educational fun. The center is conveniently located at 2124 N. 25th St. in Waco, TX. “We have a wonderful director, who will serve as the lead teacher for the Infant and Toddler wing,” said owner Beverly Sterling. “She has 28 years of experience and is a certified Montessori teacher at all levels. Our creative teachers have a wealth of experience and a passion for nurturing children.”

Sterling believes that all children benefit from a lower student to teacher ratio, so available spots are limited.

Bosque Valley Childcare Center embraces the Reggio educational philosophy which feels children learn best in the environment they learned first, which is their home.

Thus, center furnishings such as paint colors, flooring, rugs, and baskets are reflective of a home setting. This educational framework is student-centered and uses self-directed experiential learning to nurture respect, responsibility and community through exploration, discovery, and play.

All children are welcome, including children with special needs. The center offers speech therapy and occupational therapy for children who need those services. However, Sterling wants parents to know if their child is presently receiving services from another agency, that agency is welcome to treat at the center so that the child’s therapeutic plan of care is not disrupted.

Bosque Valley Childcare Center offers parents the options of enrolling their child on a full-time, parttime or “drop-in” basis. Those children enrolled on a “drop-in” basis pay an annual membership fee of $60 plus an hourly or daily rate depending on the hours of care needed.
