Walking into the orthodontist’s office can be a daunting task for kids and adults, but Dr. Joshua Knowles and his staff at Smile at the World Orthodontics are prepared to make every patient’s first experience a great one. He is a board-certified orthodontist, which means he is an expert who knows how to put the pieces of the puzzle together so you can have a straight, healthy, strong, beautiful smile.

“We try to make the whole process as comfortable as possible,” Dr. Knowles said. “We give patients options that will give them the best results.”

Smile at the World offers traditional braces, clear brackets, Invisalign, in-house aligners, and even inBrace, which are braces that go on the back of the teeth.

“We always keep your needs and goals in mind, and we’ll design a personalized treatment so you can enjoy the smile of your dreams,” Dr. Knowles said.

Dr. Knowles and his staff are constantly striving to provide the best care with up-to-date practices and the best equipment. This is part of the reason that the practice has opened a new office at 209 Hilliard Rd., in Temple, TX. “It’s always been in the plans to open a new location to be on the cutting-edge in orthodontics,” Dr. Knowles said. “We’ll now have private rooms and semiprivate bays. You will still have the open atmosphere in the main clinic, but with an added half-wall for extra privacy.”

Dr. Knowles said that his staff is truly amazing and really “makes the magic happen” for each patient.

“From the moment you walk into our office you will be able to tell that we love people,” he said.

November is National Adoption Month, and there’s an urgent need for adoptive families for children and youth in foster care just like Carla.

Carla is an active youth who loves participating in activities like swimming, biking, gymnastics, and dance. She also has a huge passion for music and loves to sing and listen to music.

Carla is also an animal lover and enjoys learning new facts about them.

She can by shy when she meets new people, but once they get to know her, she is a great friend who cares about other people’s emotions.

Carla is hoping for a forever family that will nurture her passions and offer boundaries, structure and consistency.

She would benefit from a family who could offer extra encouragement when she needs it. She also hopes that her forever family will include siblings, both older and younger.
