A Homebuyer Report gives a clear and concise assessment of the property's condition. It is based on a pro-forma report produced jointly by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Incorporated Society of Valuers and Auctioneers (ISVA).

A Building Survey, formerly known as a Structural Survey, provides a more thorough report based on detailed investigation of the construction and visual inspection of the services to identify the overall condition of the property.

A Building Survey will highlight any defects and provide an estimated budget for remedial work.

In this report, the Surveyor will consider all the requirements of the current building regulations, fire precautions and other relevant legislation.

This specialist division has a team of experienced and qualified consultants who are based in various Beresfords branches throughout Essex and into Greater London. As independent advisers they have access to the whole mortgage and protection market. Many schemes are with High Street names but some are with specialist providers who can offer exclusive and very competitive rates, which are not available direct to the public.

In most instances a decision to offer a mortgage in principle can be made very quickly and a mortgage certificate issued which provides clients with the confidence to proceed with an offer to purchase a particular property.

Beresfords advisers can also arrange and advise on policies that provide cover in the event of redundancy, death or serious illness. Additionally there is no fee, as we receive commission from the company supplying the policy, if a client decides to proceed.# Our support does not stop once you have completed all of the paperwork.We will stay in touch on a regular basis keeping you fully informed throughout. In addition, we undertake to provide you with further advice regarding your remortgage options on the expiry of your existing scheme and we automatically diarise to contact clients well in advance where this service is requested.
