Statement:
We need local government focused on local issues. Kennewick is growing rapidly, and we need housing to accommodate our growth. We need good local jobs that afford working people rewarding and healthy lives, and enough income to pay the bills and spend with our local businesses. As the world evolves around us, we must invest in the infrastructure that will sustain economic development and meet our community's needs—today and tomorrow. As your City Councilperson, I will work to ensure that all city building projects operate under local workforce agreements. I will vote to invest in the rebuilding and maintenance of our roads, parks, schools, and utilities. I will work to spur new housing construction that is affordable at all income levels. I will get the job done. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get to work—for more jobs, increased wages, and a reduced burden on taxpayers. We’ll build toward a future with more reliable, more sustainable, and lower-cost utilities, happier and healthier children, and increased investment from businesses in our community. I’ve made a career in construction. Together, we will build a community where our friends and families thrive. Let’s build a better Kennewick together.

Statement:
I have served 8 years on the Kennewick Council, delivering on a promise to hold government accountable. As a retired investigative reporter, I know how to ask tough questions and follow the money, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. Police, fire, roads, and water systems are my top priorities. I am independent, and have never sought campaign support from a labor union, or special interest group based outside Kennewick. I have lived in Ward 3 as a homeowner for 20 years. I am married, have two adopted daughters from China, one of whom is developmentally challenged, and have served on 5 short-term mission trips, domestically and overseas through South Hills Church. I have engaged in my community by supporting Christian service outreach, and helping those in need, without expecting anything in return. I have no political ambitions. I stand for our Constitution in our democratic republic, one nation under God, for liberty, and justice for all. I believe no one, regardless of origin, religion, wealth or residence, has less or more value than another. I want Kennewick to be the best it can be through compassionate, conservative leadership.
