Don't wait to get involved! Sign up for different clubs or organizations at the activity fair during the first week of school.

Discretionary dollars roll over from the fall to the spring semester - don't waste it all in the fall because you can always use what is left in the spring!

Choose classes at the times that are right for YOU. Download important apps like Grubhub, Groupme, Microsoft Authenticator, Microsoft Teams, Laundry Connect, Zoom, Onedrive, Outlook, Blackboard.

Take advantage of all the events on campus and attend! You are guaranteed to have fun and learn something new.

Make sure to leave your door open the first few weeks. This will help tremendously getting to know some of your floormates.

Plan out when you want to spend your discretionary money- don’t spend it all in the first week but if you save all of it for the last week everything will be out of stock. Plan accordingly.

Download any calendar app and make a game plan for the semester! keep track of assignments, deadlines, exams, etc!

Get involved on campus because the more people you know on campus the more resources you have.

Do your laundry during the week, less people are using the laundry room then Try to meet someone new everyday within your first month on campus Attend professor office hours.

Establishing a connection with them can only benefit you!

There are two study rooms in the basement of the library that virtually NO ONE knows about…

Put yourself out there as much as you can. You’ll never know what opportunities you’ll miss if you don’t.

Set expectations and boundaries with your roommate(s) day 1, it will help so much down the road!

There is a spice rack in the 921!

The pasta salad at the 921 is the perfect pick-me-up at any time of day!

Go to your friends' events! It always means so much when you show up for others, especially when they work hard to play in games, put on a performance, or have an exhibition.

Go off campus and explore Boston!

The free Bentley Harvard Square shuttle runs every day and provides easy access to the city.

You can do meal trades with your friends at Currito to do a nacho night in your dorm!

Find a place on campus where you like to study alone Always go to class 10 minutes early!

The walk up to classes can take longer than you may expect.

Stay active! Whether it is walking to class instead of taking the shuttle the weather in Waltham is beautiful so take advantage of it!

Participation counts in many classes.

Come to class prepared having done the reading or homework so you can get your points! Participating also helps you stay engaged.

Go to the career center at least once during your first year to help get a head start on getting internships and jobs.
