Student & Advisor Responsibilities
Student
• Frequently check and read Bentley email for official communication from members of the University.
• Prepare for any scheduled advising appointments
• Know, understand, and effectively utilize technology/software including Degree Works, Workday, and Navigate360.
• Become familiar with all resources and opportunities to connect with academic advising (appointments, drop-ins, programs, etc.)
• Adhere to dates and deadlines on the academic calendar.
Advisor
• Advise from an integrated perspective of general education, major(s), minor(s)
• Be knowledgeable about policies and procedures.
• Make appropriate referrals to resources on campus to support the development and needs to students.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date advising records (notes and cases) in Navigate360.
• Provide realistic options for students’ decision making and encourage reasonable time to degree completion.
• Respond to students’ inquiries within two business days.

• You can make schedule changes in Workday today to Monday, September 8th
• If you know how to make schedule changes on your own or you don’t need to change your schedule, you do not need to attend this session.
• Questions or concerns about your fall classes.
• Need clarification on your class schedule (days, times, location, etc.).
