My Bentley Journey Before I arrived at Bentley, I was worried about how I was going to make friends, but once I arrived and started joining the different organizations, I found my core group of friends. At the Activities Fair, one organization I saw was the Campus Activities Board (CAB), and I signed up. After attending the general body meeting, I instantly knew this was an organization in which I wanted to be involved. That was possibly the best decision I have ever made.

Not only have I had the opportunity to plan amazing events and meet celebrities (The Chainsmokers, Waka Flaka, Trever Noah and others), I have

made some of my best friends through CAB. No matter what your interests are, I highly recommend getting involved in at least one organization on campus. It allows you to meet new people with your same interests, and get to know the amazing staff at Bentley! One thing is certain, I cannot imagine my Bentley experience being this amazing if I was not involved in these different organizations!

Campus Activities Board Bentley University’s Campus Activities Board, or CAB, is the largest programming organization on campus. CAB is responsible for approximately 50 events each year, including many Bentley traditions.

Some of the organization’s most notable events include Homecoming, Spring Day, Super Bingo, the Comedy Show, and an event during Orientation.

Sustainability on Campus

Bentley is a lean, green, recycling machine.

We take our responsibility to the environment very seriously, which is why each room receives its own recycling bin. Don’t forget to bring your own trash bin though! We have many campus-wide programs that encourage sustainable practices. Visit our website for more details about what we are doing to keep Bentley sustainable at www.bentley.edu/offices/sustainability.

See the graphic above for details on our zero-sort recycling system, which means that you don’t have to sort your recyclables! Just be sure to separate your trash and recycling and you are good to go.

The Dana Athletic Center The Dana Athletic Center located on Lower Campus, is home to many fitness opportunities, which include weekly fitness classes, club sports, and intramurals.

The Dana Athletic Center also houses many of Bentley’s Varsity Athletic teams.

The Dana Center serves both the Varsity athlete and student population.

The Fitness Center The two-story fitness center is open to the entire student population. It consists of 10,000 square-feet of weight room and cardio spaces. The weight room is on the first floor and holds various types of workout equipment. The cardio spaces, located on the second floor, consists of treadmills, elliptical machines, steppers, and many different types of bikes.

The Aquatics Center The Aquatics Center, located on the first floor of the Dana Athletics Center, is home to Bentley’s Varsity Swim and Dive teams. This eight-lane pool measures 25 yards by 25 meters. In addition, the center includes a separate diving pool as well. Bentley students are welcome to enjoy this facility during specified hours.

The Dance Studio Also on the first floor of the Dana Center is the dance studio. This mirror-lined room is home to the Bentley Dance Team as well as other clubs on campus, including the Hip-Hop group, Craze. This room is also available to students when not in use.

Locker Rooms The Dana Center holds varsity men’s and women’s locker rooms as well as general men’s and women’s locker rooms. These locker facilities include lockers, changing areas, showers, and steam and sauna rooms.

Currito and The Nest Currito and The Nest are two quick-service food options in the Dana Center.

Currito specializes in burritos, salads, and smoothies. The Nest is home to some of the best breakfast on campus, including breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, French toast, omelets, and more.

The Multi-Purpose Arena Since

NCAA Division I hockey team has used the John A. Ryan Arena in Watertown. Bentley is currently in the process of building a new multipurpose arena, which will be designed to enhance the campus experience for its students, faculty, staff, alumni and supporters. Construction began in September 2016 with an anticipated opening in February 2018.

Breakfast by Moonlight A Bentley Tradition.

Breakfast by Moonlight (BBM) is a bi-annual event where the faculty and staff head to campus at midnight to serve students breakfast. This event takes place at the end of the semester on the night before Reading Day. Reading Day is a day in between the last day of classes and the first day of finals given to students to provide them with uninterrupted time to study.

This tradition on campus is one that students look forward to each semester. Faculty and staff love to interact with students while serving them pancakes, French toast, tater-tots, sausage, bacon, eggs, and more. The event is a new theme every year.

Some past themes included ’80s, Harry Potter, and Disney.

Your Bentley ID: Falcon Card When you arrive at Bentley this fall your Falcon Card will be your key to getting around campus. Before you get to campus, you must upload your own Bentley ID photo. To do so, go to https://myphoto.bentley.edu and login using your Bentley email and network password. Meet the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs Jamie Bang Job Title: Conduct and Community Development Specialist What she does: Jamie’s primary responsibility is facilitation of the Bentley student conduct system.

Through conversations and an individualized education-based approach, the Conduct Team strives to educate the student population and create a safe, inclusive campus community. Jamie also advises the student conduct boards and supervises the student employees in the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs.
