BENTLEY UNIVERSITY 2020 ORIENTATION SCHEDULE
VIRTUAL NEW STUDENT ORIENTATION | 2020 This summer we have been engaging with students and families offering a variety of social programs, educational webinars, and resources via newsletters, social media, and our Bentley Beginnings Online Orientation. As we shift our focus to the fall, we have developed a virtual experience that prioritizes health and safety while providing flexibility, access, and engagement for all new students. This will also provide us an exciting opportunity to model the many ways we will be able to connect and build community in virtual environments this trisemester. This one-of-a-kind program will ensure that our newest students are connected, prepared, and have time to complete essential tasks. While entirely virtual, the program is multi-dimensional and offers various modalities and opportunities for learning, engagement, and connection. Students will begin engaging from off campus with a suite of group, one-onone, and independent learning opportunities to support their ability to maximize connection with family and friends at home prior to moving to campus. Once here, students will have time to settle in and navigate campus and important COVID protocols before heading into the final days of the program which will provide robust virtual opportunities to focus on academic preparation, getting involved, and living the Bentley core values. Specific program details include: New this year we are hosting a Virtual Orientation Kick Off on August 21 from 10 am-1 pm to help set the tone for the program, connect new students with their orientation leader, and prepare for move-in/Orientation the following week. This Kick Off will be an opportunity to officially welcome our newest students to Bentley and to their Orientation experience with a truly unique start to their first year as a Falcon! ¡
