Benny's Dress Code
Welcome to Benny's!
We're glad to have you and we want you to feel confident and comfortable from day one. As part of our commitment to our craft, we've put together this guidebook outlining our (loose) dress code.
Whether we're working the register, running the ovens, or slinging pies in the kitchen, our appearance reflects us individually as well as Benny's as a whole. Follow these guidelines to help give everyone confidence in our craft and enhance the respectful environment with our coworkers.
Thank you for understanding our goals and please do not hesitate with any questions. Together, we'll continue to uphold the standards of excellence that define Benny's Pizza!
Welcome aboard!
-Benny

The Overall Goal:
•Look professional
•Inspire cleanliness
•Be kitchen appropriate
•Clearly show that you are staff

Tops Yes List

Solid muted colored tees, local school tees, band tees, subtle patterns or any Benny's shirts. Be sure to wear clean, well itted tops. Shoulders should be covered with sleeves long enough to cover the armpits. 3/4 length sleeves are permitted. Long sleeves are NOT permitted (unclean and unsafe). Aprons are recommended but are not required.

For Health Code reasons, limit the amount of skin exposed in the kitchen. No low v-necks, undershirts, tank tops, crop-tops, or ripped shirts. For safety around equipment, no oversized tees, lannels, long sleeves, hoodies, or sweatshirts. And obviously no obnoxious shirts with offensive, inappropriate, words or imagery, political tees, or bold patterns.
Bottoms
Yes List

Professionalism and ability to work actively are equally important! Blue jeans, black jeans, khakis, and leggings. Clean, well-itting shorts or pants.

No List

No rough clothing like ripped or stained pants and cargo or accessorized shorts (be clean and polished). No loungewear like sweatpants, basketball shorts or pajamas/lannel pants (inappropriate for ANY workplace).
Footwear
Yes List No List

When it comes to footwear, let's keep it professional, clean and safe. Opt for closed-toe shoes with a sturdy sole that provide adequate support for your role.

The shoes listed above are not permitted due to their casual and unprofessional nature. Kitchen-appropriate shoes only to maintain safety standards.
Hair

We want everyone to feel comfortable expressing their individual style while maintaining a professional appearance. Please keep hair combed, tidy, and brushed or pinned back from the face. Colored hair is welcome but please ensure it's permanent to comply with food safety regulations. Sprays, chalks, or glitters are not permitted. With beards, grooming is key. Keep it well-trimmed and tidy. If you have long hair, please ensure it's pulled back from your face or tucked neatly under a hat to maintain hygiene and food safety standards and not brush against equipment.
Headcoverings

For Health and Safety reasons, no headphones, Airpods, or other wearable technology. Accessories must be away from food prep and kitchen staff must be fully aware of their surroundings at all times.

Tattoo Policy: Tattoos are great EXCEPT face tattoos and vulgar or offensive tattoos.
Facial Piercings: Tasteful piercings and jewelry only. No large gauges.

Hygiene Matters: Maintaining personal hygiene is essential for our professional image.
Grooming Standards: Aim to be well-groomed at all times, presenting ourselves with pride and professionalism.
Nail Care: Avoid fake nails or overly long manicures with rhinestones to ensure food safety and professionalism. Nothing that can chip or break and fall into the food.
