Trees for Troops

Happy Holidays! The Christmas Spirit Foundation and FedEx have teamed up with MWR to bring you Trees for Troops. On December 10, Active Duty Soldiers or their spouses can receive a free holiday tree at Wetherby Field. Trees will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis and limited to one per household starting at 10:30 a.m. Individuals must be present at the time of dispersal; holds, reservations and picking up a tree for another family will not be allowed. Patrons will be responsible for hauling and securing trees upon pick-up. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for up-to-date information! Masks will be required at all times. VOLUNTEERS NEEDED We need your help! We are seeking volunteers for this year’s Trees for Troops event, which will be held on December 10 at Wetherby Field. Volunteers are needed from 8 a.m. – Noon (subject to change), and will assist with set-up, check-in, tree and hot chocolate distribution, as well as clean up. Hours from this event can be logged through the Military OneSource VIMS portal and is reserved for DOD ID cardholders only. Standard COVID-19 safety measures must be followed.
