Carl Matthew Dickinson (born 31 March 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for National League club Yeovil Town. Dickinson started his career at Stoke City, and had loan spells at Icelandic club Víkingur and Blackpool before helping the "Potters" to win promotion into the Premier League in 2007–08.

Happiest memories at Stoke City FC?When I made my debut.When we got promoted from the championship too the Premier League.

Best player you played with?Ricardo Fuller (Stoke City FC) for his skill.Glen Whelan for his consistency.

Toughest player you played against?

Rob Snodgrass (Leeds United). He was a very good player with great skill and I was having an off day and he ran me ragged around the pitch.

What is the trait you dislike in others?Being two faced.

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Whilst in secondary school, I went to open the gym doors and my mates pulled my shorts down in from of the girls locker room.

What is your most treasured possession?My family.

What would your superpower be?I would love to be able to read people’s minds.

What makes you down?

As I live in Stoke but play for Yeovil Town, I have to stay away from the family. I don’t get to do the school run as much as I’d like, take my son to training or my daughter to her swimming lessons.

Who would play you in the film of your life?Liev Schreiber. The lads tell me I look like Ray Donovan.

What is your favourite oatcake combination?Sausage and Egg.

Red or Brown sauce?Brown sauce!

Which living person do you admire and why?

Jose Mourinho. Everywhere he has been, he has won silver wear. He can lead any team that he manages, even when the critics say he cant. He is a born winner.

What is the trait you most dislike about yourself?

I like and dislike this about myself. My temper. If its controlled anger, it can be well used on the pitch and used in a positive way.
