GENERACIÓN ALPHA

El proyecto busca visibilizar las nuevas voces en la producción de arte digital, net art y video arte de 3 artistas emergentes chilenas. La curatoría contiene una riqueza en las aproximaciones al lenguaje audiovisual y lo digital como materia, que durante los últimos dos años, ha logrado establecer una nueva propuesta en cuanto a sus poéticas y metáforas donde se destaca la diversidad de miradas y reflexión crítica.

El eje principal que atraviesa la muestra se destaca por una búsqueda generacional que pudiera suscitar nuevas interrogantes y respuestas acerca de la identidad o el cuerpo. Desafiando lo que consideramos estable y conocido, mediante imágenes y narrativas complejas, las creadoras presentes en la muestra provocan y problematizan lo que Juan Martin de la Prada clasifica de “resurgimiento de identidades fuertes basadas en el ejercicio de la expresión del ”yo” concreto”.

Identidades avatáricas, auto-ficciones y autorepresentaciones que revelan condiciones desplazadas de identidad y corporalidad, ecologías del cuerpo fragmentado; todas estas estrategias apuntan a la autoconstrucción de identidad, que se manifiesta con ejercicios deconstructivos con el fin de fracturar la concepción monolítica del ser. La importancia de tal gesto radica no sólo en la interpretación y actualización de contenido que emerge de estas nuevas generaciones de artistas, sino también la proyección de lo que podría ser el habitar del cuerpo futuro.

Generation Alpha

The project seeks to make visible the new voices, in the production of digital art and video art by 3 emerging Chilean artists. The curatorship contains a variety of approaches to audiovisual language and the digital twhat, over the last two years has managed to establish a new proposal in terms of its poetics and metaphors, where the diversity of perspectives and critical reflection stand out.

The main axis that runs through the curatorship is highlighted by a generational search, that could raise new questions and answers about identity or the body.

Challenging what we consider as stable and known, the creators provoke and problematize through images and complex narratives, what Juan Martin de la Prada classifies as "resurgence of strong identities based on the exercise of the expression of the concrete "I".

Avataric identities, self-fictions and self-representations that reveal displaced conditions of identity and corporality, ecologies of the fragmented body; all these strategies point to the self-construction of identity, that is manifested with deconstructive exercises in order to fracture the monolithic conception of being. The importance of such a gesture lies not only in the interpretation and updating of the content that emerges from these new generations of artists, but also in the projection of what could be the inhabiting of the future of the body.
